Pigale!
You are certainly NOT a disappointment to the forum.
I have never played tennis, and am not too sure of the rules.
Unfortunately Miss PR has just won!

Elle, that was very hard to bear for Miss Watson!
Hope she is in the doubles and gets more court time.
So, who do we support now?

Heartbreaking, Rusty!
And she had the chances... 3 - 0 in her favour in the third set- had you started watching it at that point?
but she certainly played brilliantly - she did herself proud!
Who do we support now? Well, I'm still routing for Federer for the Men's! ( altho Djokovoic might take it?)
I don't know who I want to win the Women's- there are a few contenders - maybe Petra Kvitnova might win?
Who do YOU want to win?

Hello, Elle!
Very gutsy performance from young Heather!
I would certainly prefer Federer over Djokovic, but maybe a new champion?
Same for the women, anybody but Serena, but preferably a new kid on the block.
Just the way it was with Miss Sharapova years ago.
Still warm up here.
Hopeless for the salmon fishing, though!

Hey, Rusty!
I hope you didn't miss too much of your golf by watching the Heather / Serena match ? I just didn't think that you ought to miss the tennis as it was so exciting!
I do think that had Heather had a little more experience, she could have beaten Serena.
She has it in her to do well in the future, I am sure. Don't you agree?
I wonder how James Ward will fare in his next match?
it's a lot cooler here this evening - I have even turned off the fans - for the time being anyway
28C tomorrow apparently.

Hello, I have not bothered with the golf.
Be on tomorrow again.
Young Heather was super.
I may find a place for her photo on my mantel beside Maureen O'Hara, Emmylou, Queen Vic, and Lizzie!
A shade cooler here, too!
Elle, I don't know James Ward.
I may not see much more as I have a Tour to watch.
Have I mentioned it?

You may have just mentioned the Tour once or twice, Rusty!
Despite it's now feeling much fresher, we are experiencing rumbles of thunder......whoops, there go some flashes.... I cannot believe we are now about to have a thunderstorm!
You would have thought that this would have happened much earlier whilst the temperature was high and the air stifling, wouldn't you?
Goodness, it's LOUD...!
and now here comes the rain!
Where is Noah with his ark when we need him.....?

Elle, that will be what I had. Thunder and lightning.
Your forecast is a lot better than mine for today.
I have been reading all the old adverts in America where doctors were encouraging people to smoke.
"Soothes the throat" etc! Mad stuff!
There is an "e" in soothe?

Morning Rusty,

Are you ready for Le Grand Depart?

What time is kick off? Sounds ridiculous but I don't really know! No papers and have not heard anything as to the starting time.

Still very very warm already at this time, after a very warm night - already almost 30C at 9 am our time!
