Hello, Elle!
Please accept my humble apology.
I had misremembered you telling me the record was for a mile.
I am trying to catch you up in the senior moment stakes!
I had an idea that Crowdie was shown before.
I have not a clue about BBC iplayers.
I do not think I have that service.
Next week's episode is 2.
Maybe the one you have was shown last week.
I like the weather forecast on Alba.
The maps are in Gaelic and I like to see if I can translate some of the place names into English.
It's an exciting life I lead, you know!

Hi, Rusty!
Tennis update.....
Unfortunately , Heather Watson has gone out to Azarenka this afternoon.
Jo Konta is through again though.
Rafa won his match.
And Andy Murray is still playing on Centre Court........
BBC iplayer is a free service that I can get on my desk top computer.
I think that ITV provides a similar catch up service , but I haven't tried that one out.
I haven't attempted to watch "Crowdie and Cream" though.........if I want at some stage to read the books, I should prefer not to have seen the televised version.
I always prefer the written word!
If you consider the stories to be similar to those of Miss P, I might well enjoy them?
Which reminds me.... did you ever try that full length novel of Miss P's that I suggested you might like to read?
I forget its title , but it was about the adopting of a little boy.
A lovely, heartfelt story.

At a critical moment very early on, a slightly older girl interpreted - and also told him what to say!

Hello, Elle!
I think Heather Watson should say "thank you" to the ball boys and girls who frequently hand her fresh towels.
I watched a bit of her game.
I missed Jo Konta's game.
Does Chris Evert come to Wimbledon?
I liked her.
She married Greg Norman, the golfer.
Not sure if they are still together?
No, I would not watch C and C either.
The books are usually much better.
No, I am not too keen on a novel.
Miss Peckwitt's tales of life on Skye were novelish enough, I fear.
I have been on YouTube watching the ascents of El Capitan in California.
Good stuff!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I think that Chris Evert took part in the 90 years of Wimbledon Celebration programme hosted by Sue Barker?
I have the programme recorded....but have not yet had the opportunity to play catch up and watch it!
I will fill you in on Chris Evert when I do get around to seeing it!
Now.....I recall her being engaged to Jimmy Connors when first they played at Wimbledon!
But when the engagement broke up, she married John Lloyd.
And then there was a second husband - but I don't know whom?
But she and (third husband) Greg Norman were only together for about eighteen months, if I remember rightly?
I think things were very acrimonious between them.
I don't think that any of her three marriages lasted very long?
There is no sign yet of the heat dying down.....
What is like in your neck of the woods?

Hello, Elle!
Chris' second husband was Andy Mill, who was an Alpine skier.
They were together for quite a few years.
I never liked Greg Norman at any time.
She was also involved with Adam Faith who was a pop singer many years ago.
I think he may be dead now?
Jimmy Connors let something out of the bag about Chris when he wrote his book.
I will not say what he hinted at, but he should have kept it to himself.
Not a gentleman at all.
We do not have heat here, just been quite pleasant.
I am going out with Misses O and La Bamba tomorrow for a bacon roll.

Hi, Rusty!
You are fortunate...I wish it were cooler here!
It is supposed not to be quite so hot tomorrow....but I don't think there are set to be any cooler periods in the day.....the forecast seems to give virtually one level of temperature for day AND night!
It is becoming wearing!
I do not know how the tennis players cope, playing in the hot sun at Wimbledon!
But I guess they are used to these extremes.
While I sit at home , under two fans, feeling a wimp!
I am supposed to be back on track , taking the dog out myself tomorrow morning!
(If I can get my shoe on!)
A bacon roll sounds good!
You will enjoy the outing with your granddaughters!

Good morning, Rusty!
A fine day here, too, but dull as yet...... although we are "threatened" with more sunshine! .......and fortunately a tad cooler than of late.
Much pleasanter out so far.
Yes, I can get my shoe on - albeit not very comfortably!
I haven't been far afield......
I am recording the Highlights of the Lausanne Diamond League to watch later.
What time are you going out with Misses O and L-B?
