It's OK ~Rusty, easily done with quick exchange of posts!

I did not know of the change, but the mag I got was printed about a week ago - it's a monthly and this is the July issue.

You do have one team TEAM SKY with C. Froom (team leader), R. Porte, B. Swift and E. V.Viviani, the last two being the sprinters of the team.

Our five teams are AG2R La Mondiale, Cofidis, FDJ (T. Pinot as leader) , Europcar (with P.Rolland and T. ~Voeckler a leaders), and Bretagne-Seche environment.

This is an abridged version of teams composition, each having 4 or 5 men, and some I do not really know.

Albie, there is superb book on Amazon, called "When I Heard the Bell: The Loss of the Iolaire" by John McLeod, which tells the story of the crew of Hyderabad which the Iolaire was taking them home from the war.
They had survived a terrible war, they could see Stornoway and home, but never reached it.
It is regarded as one of the worst maritime disasters which ever befell this country.

Thank you, Pigale!
I don't know the Bretagne-Seche team.
I hope Pierre Rolland and Thomas Voeckler can get on in the same team!
I hope to see Thibaut Pinot go well as a "new" French hope.
Sky have a good team. I like Geraint Thomas, the Welshman, a lot. Time Sky let him show what he can do!
I hope my hero, Cancellara, can win win on Saturday!

I know the name Cancellara but have not seem race; The US have actually got 3 teams in this year.

Is Geraint Thomas riding for a team? Can't find him -
Also noticed that M. Cavendish is now riding for a Belgium team - (Etixx-Quick step)

Find it amusing that one of your sprinters should be called
SWIFT !!!

Cavendish was beaten in a 2-man sprint to the National Road race title last weekend (shock horror!) - though the gradient was about 1 in 4 uphill (to the top of Lincoln.

Yes, he transferred to Quickstep a couple of years ago, as the Sky team had divided aims (Cavendish for green or Wiggins/Froome for yellow?)

Hello, Pigale, Cancellara rides for Team TREK.
He is probably the most popular rider in the peloton. Nickname, Spartacus!
Thomas rides for Team Sky, who interestingly enough, have chosen Irishman Nicholas Roche as their captain on the road. I do not think they have chosen Ben Swift for the Tour.
Cavendish will be pleased Marcel Kittel is not riding.
He is superfast!
I have a wee bet on Cancellara to win on Saturday.
My head says Tony Martin but my heart says Cancellara!
I also took Pierre Rolland to win King of the Mountains, and Thibaut Pinot to win Le Tour.
Just small fun bets to add a little spice to the race for me.
So, Pigale! Who do you think will win?

I could never understand Cavendish joining Team Sky.
A team going for the overall cannot afford to devote men to look after a sprinter.
I always thought BMC would be a perfect team for Cav but I am sure he knows his business best!
