My goodness, and good morning, Elle!
What side of the bed did you fall out of today?!!!
This is not in the spirit Norah intended!!!

I have not heard of these players, even as old as I am!
I remember Rod Laver well.
But for fun and excitement, it was Yannick Noah for me.
No, I did not tell anyone about Miss L Plate, in case I shed a tear! I miss her!
She has been abroad somewhere. In Europe.
Think she called it Malagoof or something like that.
Cloudy here.

Chris, Shirley could well have sang the song.
Many folk did, Woody Guthrie. Joan Baez, Emmylou, and probably the best known version was by Burl Ives.
Was it Shirley who sang "Little Boy Fishing"?
A wee bell ringing!

Good morning, Pigale!
Very hot in France!
I had my gas central heating on earlier, but not because I was cold.
I do this every 2/3 weeks for a few minutes to keep the system ticking over.
Hope it does not get too hot for you!

Bound to do just so Rusty - still reasonable indoors today because the night was only 16C, so I was able to cool the house with drafts all night.

The peak will start this afternoon onwards, exceptionnal for that early in Summer, and very long - probably 12 to 15 days-
with night temps not going below 20/23C, and that is the bad part.

Hope that by the time the Tour reaches the Pyrenees, the weather will have cooled down a bit, otherwise it will be on the border of being dangerous.

Hi, Rusty!
Shall I throw my hat through the door?
I think you've taken my comments amiss! I'm not in a bad mood, far from it - just endeavouring to save my tattered image! (old and whale -like?!)
I was teasing you!
Btw, Pietrangeli was around about the same time as Rod Laver.
Maybe Magaluf on Majorca?
We're of to the dentist midday - for a check up

Hello Doglet,
I did not know that about Kauto Star.
Great shame.
He was enjoying his new career, too.
A smashing horse!

Hi, doglet!
Sorry that you didn't enjoy Bird World yesterday - it didn't sound at all a nice set up from how you described it! I hope it wasn' t too long a journey to get there .
You are lucky you have your air conditioned 'dog- quarters ' to which to retire in this heat! although as yet I'm finding it quite tolerable indoors- it's just outside that is becoming unbearable.
And unfortunately, we have to venture out to the dentist soon!

~Rusty, I was just browsing through a special Tour issue of a cycling mag, and I counted no less than 5 french teams ! I did not realize we were entering so many - despite the fact it is a French race.
