Hi, Rusty!
Back from the dentist.......yes, fortunately, we had gone on the right day!!
I've nearly finished reading "1914......."
Two incidents that drew my attention........
Firstly, that one of the survivors of the London Scottish, who took part in Battle of Messines Bridge, was Ronald Colman, the film actor. I know the name because my mother thought he was wonderful!! She always said that my Dad looked like him!
And secondly, I read of a young corporal called Adolf Hitler (!) who carried his Captain to safety (the latter later dying of his wounds)
Hitler was awarded the Iron Cross for his bravery.
Two interesting titbits!
Are you watching the tennis? I'm watching Roger Federer, but flitting to the 'red button' to see how Laura Robson is doing.
