Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear......."The best laid plans of mice and men....".............
I have been out in the garden......our plans to go walking were somewhat delayed!
However, we are going out with the dog very shortly now!
Our day has turned out absolutely glorious!
The sun is brilliant - and it is now warm enough to be out without jacket!
(No need for me to borrow Jonathan's overcoat!)
It took me a while to find that video clip of the baby osprey feeding, but it was well worth my effort - gosh , how sweet!
It was lovely to see Lassie so tenderly feeding him /her.
Right, I must away for some (strenuous?) exercise.........
Back in a bit!

Hello, Elle!
It is a fine day here, too.
Yes, it is a nice wee clip of the chick.
Should have been simple to find?
Maybe my directions were not too good?
I watched the Giro and there is still snow high up on the mountain.
The only Team Sky rider I like is Geraint "G" Thomas and I was hoping he would go well today, but a policeman on a motor bike managed to bring G and a few others crashing down, and he lost a bit of time as well as bits of skin etc.
You would not have liked it!

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness, how come the policeman got so close as to cause a crash?
Surely someone in his position should have known better?
You are right, I am indeed glad that I did not see it!
I so hate "waiting" for accidents to happen!
Now.....I have just finished watching BGT.......and what a lot of red buzzers there were on this show!
I almost gave up and didn't watch it through to the end.
Personally, I didn't like the clowns...although the panel did!
But I'm scared of clowns! I used to be terrified of them if I were taken to the circus!
I used to cry!
I did like the male singer who performed towards the end.
Jamie Lee Harrison. I thought he was very good.
He got 4 yeses, and a standing ovation.
And the Angelicus choir was excellent, especially the lead singer.
Wow! she was brilliant.
And surprisingly, I liked the magician....I wasn't sure what was coming...but I ended up thinking him very good!
Ant and Dec pushed the Golden Buzzer for him!
So what did you think about it all?
Who was your favourite?

Hello, Elle,
The policeman was stopped at the side of the road, I do not know why.
But, he should have realised the riders would stay close to that side because of the cross winds.
I do not think the riders were completely blameless.
A warning should have been shouted from the front of the bunch.
Anyway... I thought little of the clowns.
The acts I liked were, the knife thrower, Jamie from Newcastle singing,
and the lovely Welsh girls choir.
I hope they go all the way.
The lead chorister (is that a word?) was excellent.
The younger girl told their story very well and they are devoted to Mr Williams.
When she told about Mr Williams being badly hurt in a car crash, she did not say anything about his wife not surviving the crash.
Unfortunately, she died.
I could see that Simon was very taken by them.
High time a choir won!
So, Elle, my favourite last night was Angelicus Celtis!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been talking to my cousin.
All is well with the family up there!
Now BGT.......
I didn't know that Mr. Williams lost his wife in the crash that was mentioned - how did you hear that?
How dreadful for him. And isn't it wonderful in what great esteem the young girls hold him?
He had tears in his eyes when Simon asked him to come up to the front .
I think the interaction of the four judges is very good.
Yes, I think the lead singer of the choir has a great career ahead of her.
But personally, I think I preferred Jamie.
I wasn't so sure about the knife thrower/ fire act?
I might well class it as unnecessarily risky?!
But then, you know me!

Hello, Elle!
I Googled "Angelicus Celtis" and found the info on line.
I think that was his son who was with him.
I think his son took over the choir while his father was recovering.
I am now following the choir on Twitter!
You are probably right about the knife throwing.
One act is much like another.
I liked Jamie singing.
No torturous screwed up face forcing notes out with him!
Just a pleasant voice and he seems a fine young man.
I favour the choir, though.
No, the leading chorister is superb and I was half expecting Simon Cowell to suggest she sings on her own.
He was very taken by them.
I was very taken by the choir, too.

Hi, Rusty!
It is funny, but ever since you used the word "sturpak", and I asked you what it meant, the word has been appearing on almost every page of my book!
It seems that Miss P and her companions now do little but partake of sturpaks!
Well, I have almost finished my last chapter........I shall start on the Second Hebridean Omnibus tomorrow!
I wonder why her neighbours still refer to her as "Miss Peckwitt" - even Morag does that - for the other ladies appear to be called, or referred to, by their first names?
Maybe because she is English...and not really 'one of the community'?
Right, I am going to make a hot drink before bed...and maybe a couple of potato cakes?

Hello, Elle!
It is "strupak", not "sturpak"!
I do not think it is because she is English, but certainly an "incomer".
She appears to be a paying guest of Morag's, so maybe they think she should get her proper title?
And she was a teacher in Yorkshire, so would be called "Miss"?
She could have told them to call her "Becky", as Mary does, but apparently not.
I have been supporting Ian Poulter at the golf, but he is making heavy weather of it, and I fear he won't win.
Your "hot drink and potato cakes" sound suspiciously like a strupak to me!

Good morning, Rusty!
A dreich day here!
A real turn-around from yesterday.
Mind you, we do need the rain!
Yes, "StRUpak"!
I must have been thinking of "stir fry"? Ah well!
The local free paper is warning everyone against viral emails.
I never knowingly open anything unless I know its "pedigree", but I shall be extra vigilant in the current situation.
How was your golf? or is still ongoing?

Hi Rossim,

Are you still following the owlets' progress? 5 have hatched, the last one being early this morning, and it is lovely to see them being
fed. Three more to hatch. Mother Owl makes sure Dad does
not eat any of the voles he brings in!

Hi Everyone,

My own little birds are getting too big for their nest - it's a wonder
they have not flown out yet. Mother is still feeding them but I never see her - no room! she must be right on the edge.

Have not seen the Osprey chick yet apart from on photo

How are you?
