Hello, Elle!
I think I'll adopt Bristol Rovers as my favourite English team!
If you get to sing "Goodnoight Oirene" that can't be bad!
The fans maybe do not sound quite like the Weavers, but make up for it with enthusiasm for their team!
Yes, I read the history behind the fans adoption of the song.
I have been watching the golf.
One of my favourite players, Rickie Fowler, has a four shot lead after three rounds.
Fingers crossed for him!
It was a huge crash in the cycling.
Just a touch of wheels and they all came tumbling down.
No harm done, though.
Just some damaged bikes.

Good morning, Rusty!
Dreich here!
We are having a leisurely morning and going out for a (longer) walk around midday.
I am at present drinking coffee, and about to do the Everyman - my usual Sunday morning treat!
I may wander down for a paper for some more crossword ammunition if the rain abates.
What are you up to, today?

Good morning, Elle!
I am having a canny day, too.
I have even done Sunday Times crossword online.
Not as good as the Monday to Saturday ones, for me.
There is an article in the paper about the goings-on at Alberto Salazar's place in Eugene. Apparently he was giving his athletes L-carnitine which improved their abilities.
Not good news!
I have the Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne cycling in Belgium to watch, and the golf later on.
So, should be a pleasant Sunday!

Hi, Rusty!
That is unusual for you to do a crossword on a Sunday?
It is customarily your "rest-day" from puzzles!
I finished the Everyman early on - unfortunately it was quite a straightforward one today - some nice parsings but not difficult.
Disappointing, as I like to have one or two left to "worry" about, as you know.
Speaking of which....yesterday's Times 15 x15....
There is just one clue that I still cannot parse ( and I don't think a crossword is finally finished if there are outstanding parsings!)
6d: Barking - mostly Irish area in part of London (9)
As my answer, I have "Battersea" = part of London (def)
But cannot account for anything else?
I have just had my daughter on the phone inviting us to YB's FIRST birthday tea on Friday!
A special occasion!

Hi Elle
I can't fully parse it either but I was thinking Battersea dogs' home - barking!

Thanks , Rossim and JG
so "barking" means barking mad = batty?
I was thrown by the "dash" coming between "Barking" and "mostly".

The dash was a nice misdirection :)
