Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I think Mo is in danger by association.
Old adages like "tarred by the same brush " and "birds of a feather ....." spring to mind.
He needs to be careful.
I admired Mo's initial sticking up for his coach, when all this was first mooted.... but Salazar's guilt seems beyond doubt now........ time for Mo to "get out from under"?
I should find my taking out the dog somewhat limited without a car (not that I drive - I need to be "ferried"!)
There are several parks and Gardens within easy walking distance for us, but the larger parks, fields, woods , commons...... are a drive away.
I have a dog who likes to run.....we need a big area......
Lucky you with your weather - I think the rain has set in for the day here.
Have you done the 15 x 15 - I seem to be a lot quicker than usual?
Normally, it's fairly hard going for me!
(I struggle!)

Hello, Elle!
Mo should have skedaddled years ago.
And, there is an unspoken elephant in the room.
Nike.
They sponsor the Oregon Project run by Salazar.
Farah is a Nike athlete.
They are a hugely successful company who like to see their athletes winning.
Farah was an average runner before he joined up with Salazar and the Oregon Project, then became a world beater.
Others associated with Nike were Armstrong, Sharapova, Oscar Pistorius.
And just what did Seb Coe do for them as a well paid Nike ambassador?
I would not buy Nike products.
Why not learn to drive?
Today's Times Crossword was just a bit on the easy side, I think.
You are correct, just took a few minutes.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Uhmm.....there was a lot of controversy over the Oregon Project, and the ethics of training at high altitude, wasn't there?
But this administration of an (intravenous) amino acid is something else again.
And put like that, when you line up the "associates", it all sounds highly suspicious.
I should like to think Mo is a "clean " athlete - as he insists he is - but I don't like the odds.
Oh dear!
I have never fancied driving, Rusty!
And, on the whole, I have never felt the need for it, living down here.
Our transport service is brilliant.
I have everything within easy range - buses, trains, trams, the Overground.
And then going further into London, the Tube , of course.
We rarely need to use our car.........other than taking the dog out !
And even then...I could walk, but it adds two miles to the round trip.
I learnt a new soup today! Gazpacho!
We are having hailstones!!

Hello, Elle!
Another top Nike athlete I did not mention is Tiger Woods.
I would like to think Mo is the real McCoy too.
But... the big improvement mid-career is the thing.
Chris Foome is the same.
An average rider who started winning Tours de France?
I hope he is clean.
Over the years I would guess that 90% of my cycling heroes have been on something.
Anyway, on the positive side, Tony Martin has had eight stitches in his face and is raring to go again!
Apparently he rode into a parked car!
Yes, you have a great transport system!
Had you not heard of Gazpacho before?
I'm a bit of a hill-billy and I have heard of it!
No sign of Storm Ewan here? You?

Hi, Rusty!
So has there been any controversy (re drugs) surrounding Tiger Woods, through his connection with Nike?
I know little about golfing, and golfers!?
I didn't find the crossword anywhere near as easy as you obviously did - it probably took me about half an hour plus - looking at it off and on.
I couldn't parse 24a?
At least I got marble = alley; and arch = bow; and Marble Arch being a landmark.....
but "one further west"?
Go on, tell me I'm being thick here.....?
And the cricket clue13a?
I got into = enthusiastic; but why/ how ?
No sign of Ewan , but my husband spent the afternoon repairing the damage done to our back garden fence by Doris!

Hello, Elle,
I do not know about Tiger and drugs, but he was a very unpleasant man who did not enhance the Nike brand.
I know very few people who would give him elbow room at the bar.
A wonderful golfer, though.
The younger golfers, the new "Rickie" generation are a breath of fresh air compared to him.
And they do loads for charity, too.
24, You tell me? Is Marble Arch further West than Bow?
I have no idea!
13, Into.
At cricket, if your side is batting, they are said to be "in", I think.
The spinner, no end, is a to(p)
OK?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, actually, if that is what the clue means, Marble Arch IS west of Bow!
but I though "bow" was simply relating to "arch"?
But there again.......... it did have a capital letter?
Did it have a double meaning?
And I am sick of cricket clues!!!!!
There were two clues, though, that I did think were every good........"suborn" for 6A and "primordial" for 11a..
I liked those!
Oh, and "camembert" at 15d - although I had to check with Anne B that "guy" meant "cat"!
I meant to ask you......did you get to watch the Oscar Awards?
I hear there was a massive mix up, and the award for Best Picture was first given to "La La Land", when it should have gone to "Moonlight"?
What a to-do!

How was gazpacho, elle?

Arnold Rimmer in "Red dwarf" at a formal meal sent his back to be heated up!

I wasn't eating / drinking/ it , Chris!
Gazpacho was the answer to a Times 15 x15 clue!
I produced the answer from the parsing..........but had to look up the word to see what it was!

I've never been given it, but I tried making it once and it almost had an emetic effect. I don't know if it was supposed to taste like that, though!
