Hey, Rusty!
It is a "nice" film, if you know what I mean?
But one does not see "herself" in all her glory, as it is in black and white!
I'm not even sure where Harpenden is, Rusty?
I have a feeling it may be in Hertfordshire?
Mr J is outstaying his welcome!
I shall pack for him again .......I wonder if his ticket is still valid.....he may still be in time to come first footing with you.......
That is great news about your fire!
How thoughtful of your son to order the part and repair the fire for you.
A nice warming effect is just what you need on these dank and miserable days!
I have good news, too, of a similar nature!
Our new printer is now set up - and working!
Back in business!

Hello, Ros!
I haven't seen the stage version of "Miracle on 34th Street" but I love the film......
It is nice to see a happy innocent film for a change.........
I am sorry that you missed your party - but yes, very sensible not to drive in this thick fog.

Hello, Elle,
I was staying in Dunstable when I was at Harpenden.
Must be in that vicinity.
I was at Tring And Leighton Buzzard and a few other places around that area at the time. And Watford.
Yes, my son is a very thoughtful lad.
That is good about your printer being installed.
Elle, there are only 5 letters in Trent?

Hello, Elle!
I see you have retracted your wee error!
I was trying to make Timothy fit.
Mothy sounded like it could be full of holes.
But Ti is no beverage I have heard of?
What think you?

Hi, Rusty!
Dunstable is in Bedfordshire; Tring and Watford in Hertfordshire.
No idea about Leighton Buzzard as I've never heard of it!
Remember Geography is not exactly my strong point!
I'm guessing the two counties are next to each other?
How long did you live around that area?
How disappointing that there are only five letters in "Trent"!
It appears I cannot count, either!
(So much for having "A" level Maths!)
A pity as I thought it a good answer?
Strong coffee is called for after that blow to my esteem........

Hello, Elle!
I knew where Dunstable was, and that Watford was on the road to London, but that is all. The other places were just names, really.
I was in Dunstable when the police were hunting for Harry Roberts.
I remember that well.
"A" level Maths sounds quite good, is it?
But are there any boys called Trent, anyway?
Anyway you had a go, that is the main thing!

Hi, Rusty!
Where to start? How very exciting!
I am so pleased for all of them!
Especially for Jess, I think.
That is a very good note on which to end the year, isn't it?
I'm trying to think who was /is Harry Roberts?
No, "A" level Maths isn't really much....
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, we used to take GCEs (General Certificates of Education) at "0" (Ordinary) level at age 16; and "A" (Advanced) level at 18.
I think our "A" levels are equal to Scottish "Highers"?
Or it may be that AS-levels equate with Highers and A-levels with Advanced Highers?
Not sure about this?
Yes, apparently "Trent" IS a boys' name - I checked!

Good morning, Elle!
Yes, well done, Jess!
She is very worthy of a Damehood.
Maybe Trotty will have to wait until she retires before she gets hers.
Harry Roberts was one of the three men who murdered three policemen (in Braybrook Street, London, if my memory is accurate).
He went on the run and was found living in Epping Forest in a "hide" he had constructed.
I am not sure about Highers etc either.
"Ti mothy" sounds as if it could be a goer, though?
Right, me for the high road to ASDA to get my paper!
