Bren, I hardly dare suggest a look at the perimeter letters on the left hand side. 🫣

It's a shame this excellent puzzle appears to have, ahem, rubbed so many up the wrong way...

I'll have tread carefully relaying this story but....

In my first full time job I was the only male in office of about 20 females (all ages).!

They would often include me in their stories, dare I say at times delight in doing so, and swore that one of the women would blatantly engage in f.........ing - they even went so far as to tell me to watch her when she was standing by another colleague's desk - I just never knew it had a name!

Found this one quite taxing- some clever misdirections. I'm pretty sure a fair few of my answers are going to be way off the mark.

Just 17d left, I saw earlier that the prowler was female though I'm still no closer to knowing where to begin with it. Any steers gratefully received

14d, 22a, 24a. Hints? Looking for a SA war?

Took a while to get 13a. Bloody oath. And my Grandmother was from there. Coonamble. As my mate Johnny, the son of one of a Perth black soul-club owner, said "Typical Pommy. Emigrated the wrong way."
