Still nothing on obeying the last two words of the message but think I've guessed how to replace the 11/6 phrase, even without the title or dedicatee....

Wondering if I've made a mistake in 6d (I know what goes in the circle). Every other split column has real words above and below the circle but the bottom part of my 6d isn't currently a real word.

If I jig it so it is it a word it messes up my TECS CRIME TITLES and leaves a very odd situation with the circle.

Rather baffled by the message but it's early days yet.

Granama1 in my 6d the last 4 letters do form a word, the letter preceding it will vanish when I work out what to do....!

Greengage, this will probably be my last post on the thread, as I’ve monopolised it. If you consider implementing the message with specific reference to what is spelt out by the second and third words it’s pretty binary.

For this solver this was simply a joyless slog.

I think I've done it but haven't a scooby what the name from the asterisked cells has to do with anything. I must have made a mistake somewhere?

I suspect that you are looking at the wrong dedicatee, planks, as I was for too long.
