The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
HINTS only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction - enough to assist a struggling solver, but not so much as to spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme are likely to be removed.

In general...
Unsolicited help with clues or the theme will be removed.
Although there are many regulars on these threads, Listener newcomers are always welcome.
The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

Apart from finding the clues very difficult- only three done so far- I'm puzzled by the rubric saying that in the double clues, answers overlap by two cells. In all cases, the sum of the two answers' lengths is more than two greater than the number of cells available. Does this mean that there is some letter doubling-up in the non-overlapping part too?

The preamble states that rows 5-6 are gibberish. I have the same opinion of the preamble.

Excellent puzzle, with a fine endgame. Cheers, Botox!

well done, dodgepot! full grid (apart from the 11/6 thing which is NOT in my OED), so staring time starts now. botox seems to be a transatlantic setter?

I also have no idea of what the 11/6 phrase is yet, but all the rest falls into place - thanks to the setter!

I meant to say not sure what to ENTER to follow the phrase... I have an idea but it doesn't convince me yet!

According to the Listener website Botox is a collaboration of Artix and Shark, seen once before (I think) in the Listener, a numerical, and in the Inquisitor, Spike Milligan’s gravestone. Plus some C and D Magpie puzzles. So I expected a bit of a challenge, and got it.

I'm getting close. Clue wise I just have the first part of 13 left to solve. I have all the extra words from the clues.

Surname not yielding anything useful yet though, and not sure what the message from the extra words is telling me to do!!!

Kindred, hopefully this isn't too early to be posting, but as 13 was one of the only(!) clues I've completed so far... I read the first of the two clues as an anagram. First word of clue as the indicator, 8 letters +1 common abbreviation, leading to a two word (specific) example of the fourth word in the clue.
