I came here to check on some vague parsing and inwardly chuntering about loose clue-ing. The Nina discussed here had totally eluded me and transforms an OK puzzle into a brilliant one. CWH never lets you down.

Once again I have one left: 16D uncomfortably turn 26 (4). I have R?A?. And not a clue on the Nina although the right hand side seems clear enough.

Hi Cymro,

16d - this is a double definition, one is a synonym of 26a and the other a word meaning "uncomfortably turn" (most often you might get this in your neck, as a sprain or strain)

Your A is wrong.

Nina - don't worry about sense of the left hand letters, your browser will do that.

I must have something wrong as nothing comes up when I type the Nina in my browser.

You are typing it in your browser rather than a search engine? You are putting symbols in for the words that indicate them?

Hi Spinynorman,

The first 7 letters are typed in exactly as they are, then you type a single object for the next 3, then type in next 3 letters as written, then enter the object spelt out by the next 5 letters (forward), then just enter the final 8 letters as they are.

I had to do it a few times before it worked.

I switched from Safari to Firefox and that worked. Very clever. Thanks, ChrisE

I originally tried to type in the Nina with a double "/" due to the ES, which of course did not work. 😂
