8d is a double definition, the fish is in Bradfords.
10d is an acronym for the last 3 words.

Thanks, have 10d.
Fish not in Chambers? Ends in S?
I now have 13a sorted but not a clue on 14a. Only anagram I can find is a racehorse.

Gazing at the last letter of 18 and the letters above and below it suggest a possible way in - or is this a waste of ti

yes, the shapes are centered on intersecting grid lines. Yes, the quote from #2 is in ODQ. And no, focusing on that last letter is not a waste of ti, or of time for that matter.

Final plea for help with an answer, 21a, I have seen the definition tip. Can’t see it, or the four letter string.
