A misprint in the final word. The definition in my Chambers suits just fine.

I have a misprint,, but the first six words of the Chambers definition are ignored, and they seem significant.

Also there are at least two ambiguities in clues that may or may not yield compass points.

Yes, I know, but I still think it's bit loose. I did make a silly error yesterday which confused me.

I have all the solutions and have got my twelve unparsed clues down to five!
Still missing one 'point' (the second one I think) and three of the misprints.
So how about a hand to clarify 11a, what is this teacher?
And 15a, I don't see what is imbibing the 'homebrew' is it head?
Is 28d a straight clue?
That would really help for now.

An obscure head.
No, an alternative spelling of a very obscure head!

Good morning, all. Please can I have some help to parse 37a? The answer is obvious but I have a mental block with the wordplay.

Synonyms of the first two words, the second one losing C for compliance.

Thank you, lumen, I was stuck on four letter words for "being" so couldn't see the wood for the trees. Funny how the mind works sometimes.

I thought this was a really good puzzle with some excellent clues. I particularly enjoyed 27 across.
