I feel similar, although have a different sticking point (see my question about 34a) but have had a similarly satisfying PDM. 5d - my Chambers app gives the necessary definition of the 1st 5 letters of the answer, as its 9th definition of the adjective.

I see the wordplay OK, but can't relate the definition to the answer.

Misprint in the last word (which is the definition)

D'oh! No wonder no-one else queried it. I'd already worked out what the twelve corrections spelled, so must have overlooked that I had one missing.
Thanks, neophyte.

Very glad to help, given the d'oh nature of my own query. I suspect this is now a private conversation between the two of us!

Got there in the end and the hidden message led me to the film via Google. This in turn helped me arrange the cut out pieces into the right shapes.

Now comes the tricky bit. Do I have any glue? Will the completed puzzle fit into an ordinary envelope?

This is rather late in the day, but there are two pairs of similar shapes that can be formed from the cut-outs, which held me up considerably. The wrong pair is very nearly right, so a discrepancy could be overlooked.
Fiendish.

raggedy

I seem to have the full grid with the six compass points, the film title and the two actors. My problem is that the miidle'ish letter of one actor doesn't appear anywhere in the grid and the last letter of the second actor is missing. I assume the pieces butt up to each other without overlapping or inverting.
Also do the 'pairs of points' mean diametrically opposite on the compass or 1st clue point to 2nd clue point and so on.
Or do I have the wrong film and the wrong actors altogether?
