Found this on the easier side albeit after a slow start. Some were write ins, but clever clueing made it fun to parse the solutions. Just one to parse, although I’m sure of my solution: 16. Can anyone give me a hint?

Most of this flew in with just a few at the end that I took a bit longer to see (and a few that needed reverse-parsing later on). Loved the sneakiness of 18 and I now want to use 8 down more and get it back in to more common parlance as it’s lovely to know there is a specific word for this!

4 is positioned on the grid.

For 16d 4 is positioned on the grid.

The solutions to 24d and 26a are pretty obvious, if you have the crossers.
But I can't follow the definitions. Any tips?

26 refers to a nursery story involving goats.
24 definition "land"

24d essentially = central and 26a think goats
