Not all the answers are words after thematic treatment, but become words in after you deduce two further entries

Dylan, 10d I think of a Scottish term for police (think of bees sort of thing), 15d is more often used about shares. 17d is a word relating to what 'number ones' produce (Number two rhyming with what it produces 😄).

Hello all, i think I've hit those familiar buffers. Full grid apart from the two unclued and not a scooby what to do next. I can see two thematics clearly in the grid but can't find the 4 letter third and may be impeded by not remembering the hare xword. I can see that the crossing letters could all be first letters of thematic items as mentioned in an earlier post, but so what? I can also see which letters must be changed to create real down answers. Is it too early to ask for a nudge or possibly a push in the right direction?

I was a bit stumped on the left hand unclued till I realised there were two possibilities for making 10d into a real word. I had entered the wrong one. Does that help at all?

As Lumen says, a nudge - given what you’ve already spotted -would inevitably be a massive shove over the line. Earlier advice to Google what the thematic items constitute might help you to the PDM. We’ll await the clang!

Well firstly let me thank you for your restraint with the nudges. The alternative ending for 10down and a bit of googling sorted me out and I welcomed the confirmatory original crossing letters. I saw the fourth ex loco item and I think that wraps it all up. Appreciated the crossword and appreciate the crossword community on here. A welcome distraction as I am currently recovering from a broken hip having fallen off my bike last Saturday -ouch. Many thanks
