Well, I haven't done one for about 24hrs so I'll chip in a misprint in the 3rd word (you need a vowel there).

Just wondering...: What does the entry slip printed in the physical paper, as opposed to the online PDF, look like?

On the tram home from a concert by Tommy Smith and Arild Andersen (as a duo, thanks to Easy Jet leaving the drummer in Norway - but utterly stunning nevertheless) I had an unexpected idea about the last bit of highlighting. More satisfactory than my previous version in terms of the rubric but still pretty outré. But I suppose that all rather chimes with the theme (and the source, come to that).

Dodgepot.. Was just curious to see whether or not I would have my query answered by a lurking non-tackling Listener (encouraged by post 38). It is far too complex for me to resolve but I remain hopeful.

Buona notte

Jordan, the information, reminder, about giving the clue (and any pertinent information) was just to increase your chances of getting help. Forum members do lots of crosswords, but not everyone does ALL the puzzles. I, for example, seldom do the Guardian or Observer crosswords, and I like it when a clue from there appears on the Forum. It's good to get the chance to tackle 'other' puzzles, but seeing the clue is ... vital for that.

I'm still struggling with the 6 wordplay clues in the Downs. I'm still not even sure which ones they are, but tips to 12d, 22d and 25d (where the answer is clear, but not the reason) would be appreciated

Thanks

12d: generates extra letter from anagram fodder and the answer is maybe a usurper and entered thematically.
22d: ditto extra letter. and the admiral's ship is one you're familiar with but only the first 4 letters for archaic version thereof. likewise entered thematically.
25d: just a double definition -- truth is also money!

Many thanks Gabrielc. In hindsight 25d was easy! The penny suddenly dropped about the thematic instruction, which helped for some other thematics. However, my final entry for 17d doesn't seem to be in my BRB.
I'm still working on the unclued entries!

I believe I have finished but I am a stickler for following the cutting out guidelines for submission. I expect Mr Green may be a little frustrated with this one. The final four letters felt a little contrived.
