Finally finished!

Did anyone else find this needed a lot more cold solving than usual? Pretty sure that it was far more than the guideline 50% of clues…

Which made it quite a slog for me, was only able to really make progress at entering once I had about 80% of the clues. And so spent the vast majority of my solving time staring at seemingly impenetrable clues! Not my favourite puzzle

Sabre is famously just about the hardest setter around, and most of his puzzles involve a lot of cold solving difficult clues. Any time you finish a Sabre it's an achievement.
