Does decoding the grid mean that the whole grid has to be changed? I now have everything except this- and I can see the final triangle

Grid filled, message decoded, letter changed, but can't see where the first word of the location is; doesn't matter as we're not required to highlight it, but it's bugging me. Which cell has first letter, please?

I have all but finished this, with historic message, means of transmission, quarry’s description and 6 letters of culprit’s name worked out, but need a hint for the ‘earth with extermination …’ clue. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
