Hi Paradigm Shifter (or PS as I call you)

Thanks for all your help with this crossword. I do have aids to help me, mostly my big book of synonyms from Chambers and a little electronic machine that suggests words from any letters and spaces I have. But occasionally I resort to apps on my computer. I rely heavily on the forum and contact with my friend in Sheffield on Sunday.

My husband does the cooking on Saturday so I can concentrate on the crossword in the afternoon, but I get to do the washing up and clearing the kitchen - usually at midnight.

I couldn't manage without my seiko electronic machine but its not as good as the Franklin Chambers one which stopped working due to having been hidden down the back of the settee for months. Maybe i should spend less time on the crossword and do more housework... Er no.

They've got a missing letters solver on this site ("Quick Solve")

I am late to the party for Philistine, but it was a pleasant contrast to last week's brain melting offering. I am very grateful for everyone who posts here, so often I get a hint which provides a way to solve a recalcitrant clue.

There's hundreds of people, like you and me

Just trying to work out how to get on to this Forum, which caused me more problems than solving the Crossword! I think I have solved that now. I just have one left to do, 1across. The only two words I can find which fit the letters ?p?r?a don’t give me any help.

Thank you! I have been reading the forum for quite a few weeks, and I often find the clues that am stuck on are not the ones discussed - presumably because others find them easy, so I am glad to be able to ask directly for hints now!
