Thanks BC, I think I first heard of him when Jimmy Page bought Boleskine House, where AC used to live.

I have most of the top half, but have ground to a halt, can someone help with 23a? That would be really useful to move into the lower section. I'm thinking maybe rapture is involved.

lumen - def is 'rupture'....2-letter abbreviation for 'have' inside 4-letter 'check'

It's one of the jumbled entries. Def is rupture, wordplay HA' (short form of have) in a 4-letter word for check (as in restrain)

gitto - I think you are mistaken...the character is not highlighted until it reaches it's resting place.

I liked how the initial grid provided the initial means of egress for the character:-)

buzzb, I understand that, I was merely trying to distinguish between whether shading or linear representation was required.

I think "then" in the preamble suggests buzzb is right. Am I right in assuming the resting place is a single word ?
