I don't think there can be any doubt about the numbers, loge - due to the 'resolution' there can only be two numbers - and, because the two grids are bespoke (if you know what I mean) it's not really necessary to identify the subject as specifically as I first thought (so yes - above the 5 letter words is surely right).

I've noticed there are some answers that have an almost identical twin - with this in mind there is a word meaning "sophisticated" that is one letter different from the "dry white wine" - I can't justify putting it in because I can't see how, other than the definition, it could possibly be that but I'm just worried I'm missing something - can anyone confirm that it either is or isn't this word?

Yeah, I see it now but just couldn't get past "hum" or "bee"...you know, the usual suspects - I need a coffee break:-)
