Thanks to all for the heads up - I shan't be bothering with this. Fingers crossed for a decent EV.

I agree some of the clues are rather woolly, which is why I found this a slog until the grids started to take shape I had mine the wrong way round, of course. But I did admire the construction and enjoyed the PDM, despite not being particularly interested in the theme.

I agree the revealed instruction is vague and I’m not entirely certain I have followed it correctly, though I can’t see what else it could be.

I think I know what you mean regarding the final touches, loge - they're cerainly not typical (but the resolution of the ambiguity pretty well nails it).

I haven’t got the 3 letter across answer and have just looked again, so I stand back and admire your greater tenacity - all of you!

Hi everyone. I’ve cold-solved about half in two hours....tough work. Can I get hints for the two sevens I don’t have?
They are the ones starting European language and Good man.
Thanks.

Looks like you have the same as me, then. Too right they’re not typical!

Usual abbreviation for good man + word for barking or howling, first letter of which is extra

Word for a European national + our old friend, 4 letters, of which last letter is redundant. You may have to hunt in Chambers for the definition
