Got the thematic word with 13a.

Still not sure what 7d theme word could be. How many letters or beginning letter, please.

Have you made a connection between the theme words you have acquired thus far? If so, the missing one should be very obvious.

Sunray - 7d wordplay is ‘cut cloth’ (type of cloth with the end letter lopped off), giving the grid entry. Definition is ‘There’s no compromise on this’, and is *lowest-value thematic word* _ _ _ _.

Like others, I found this easy enough but hit on an ambiguity right at the end. The preamble says to erase one of the letters which is fairly obvious BUT does that blank cell remain highlighted? From what I have heard, the checker is fairly strict on things like this for those of you who submit entries.

I don't play soccer. So I applied 7d theme word to 32d. Now corrected.

I only have 11 letters from word play. Still trying to find 12th.

I think I have the 8 cells in the grid.

Ah! Got the 8 cell phrase at last. I had an unch entered wrongly...

Definitely my quickest Listener ever - less than an hour - whereas usually I dont even finish them. Knew I would come on here and everyone was finding it easy lol.

This was a lot of fun, though I'm not sure I found it as easy as everyone else, and finding the last couple of letters was very tricky - even when I knew what they were!

I find myself in the unheard-of position of finishing the puzzle before I’ve gone to buy the paper. I hope the Jumbo isn’t a killer to make up for it.

I woke up realising that, like Sunray, I had used one of my theme words in the wrong place. (11d for me). All sorted now.
Also woke up understanding the eight cell phrase and which letter to erase.
But ! Still don't see the three word phrase. I have the 12 letters, double checked, but can't make them into anything relevant. I have a V, but no K...is that right? A K would seem handy.
Gentle hint please?
