No poetical theme for this, so maybe just a contextual reference to the jigsaw nature of the overall puzzle after all. Moving on...
Araucaria once more. "Less than a year in the Julian calendar for housekeeper with ring" (7) A-N-L-R so I have ANNULAR which gives me the with ring part, and ANN short for ANNO for year in Latin, but the significance of the housekeeper part?

It’s actually ANNU (short for ANNUS). Anno is the ablative case. Remember annus, anne, annum, anni, anno, anno? And a LAR is a household god, as in “lares et penates”

Dance about for a second in exchange (7) B-U-R-E
I have BOUREE for the dance, and maybe the RE represents the about in the clue, but more than that escapes me.

You’re right about BOURREE and the RE. It’s swapped for the S in Bourse, the stock exchange in Paris

I believe the famous biblical quote is “A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country”. Matthew 13:57

So it means a degree without getting honours, I.e just a straight pass, I suppose

The last Araucaria for today then.
