Might it be YEATS? "Ye" could be "the", but I've no idea on the ATS.

If this is one of Araucaria’s alphabetical jigsaw puzzles, then “of the jigsaw” might be a contextual reference. Is there a theme perhaps? Other than that I can’t think of a Keats connection

Impossible without seeing the whole puzzle, but if it’s one of those “answers must be entered wherever they will fit” Guardian puzzles, could there be something thematic which is not in the clue itself?
