Hi everyone again. And no Malone you don’t confuse me, you make me think. Which is good.

I've got a full grid (quite a few unparsed but spotting the obvious lower location helped with the fill). Have shaded two locations and three individuals but a) should I be seeing some sort of representation of the event on the right hand side? My imagination is failing me and b) any hint on the three items missing from the title of the puzzle would be welcome (I appear to have 44 shaded cells already).

No worries - found the missing bits and duplication made the additional 5 letters. Just the 3 from Row 1 to work out now.

The first and last of the missing items are in columns 1 and 12. As a matter of interest, should one enter numbers or letters below the grid? It strikes me the former would be more in keeping with the theme but the latter are specifically mentioned.

Son1ofrover1, it does say 'in an appropriate form' so I'd guess numbers but I haven't parsed 2/3 of Row 1 (don't have the SOED) and haven't worked out the first bit. Just trying to reverse engineer the 3 letters that I think are needed into the answers.

Having said that, I see it says 'ROW 1 letters:______' So now I'm confused too!
