Commiserations, Nikki!
My biggest fear, when nearing the end of typing in solutions or scrolling down again to check my entries, used to be that I would hit the 'submit' button with my fat fingers...
Now, I fill in my email address at the top only when I'm ready to submit.

I realised only a couple of days ago that I had spent so much time working on Listener entries that I had not looked at this month's Genius, so I was late to the party.
Thanks to all who gave hints and tips this time round. This meant that I could complete the puzzle without having to submit my own plea for help with recalcitrant clues!

Well, there it is; the dust settles for another month. Thanks to all who commented and helped others out along the way; it was fairly tricky, I thought, given stuff was missing from each clue. Well done to everyone who finished it (or even just had a go!).

Hamish - as I will be the only contributor getting notice of your post, let me represent all of us in congratulating you on a clever if fiendish puzzle. More please ....

Ha! Thanks for the kind words, and for the help you give to other solvers. I'll do more whenever I'm allowed - I've got a couple on the go at the moment, both of which are irritating to set the grid for (and which I imagine will be infuriating for the solver as well).
If you're after more of this sort of thing, then I run 1 Across (www.1across.co.uk) where we publish themed puzzles, some hard, some easier; you'll find Chameleon, Wire, Eclogue, Chalicea, Phi, Hieroglyph, Chorybdis and others. Pretty much anything goes with the puzzles as long as I find them fun when I test solve them!
