Thanks Drxx, most helpful. That fits with the final 5 letters I had - at least it is more credible than the only word I could find that could fit otherwise and was patently wrong! For some reason I had it in my head that both of the symbolic ones must be at the top of the grid.

Help with 33 please. This puzzle is the hardest for some time.

I'd appreciate help with 8 and 37. I've got the others in those corners, so these could be significant in helping me fit things in.

37 jet starting with D

33 'Being' is the def and the last 5 letter word is the location of TOWIE minus its last letter.

8 usual abbrev for 'In the morning', 'nits' are the 'eggs' and the 'a' that goes inside it is unclued.

37 'Jet' (of water) is the def - starts D(eserted) + a 6 letter French word meaning kitchen (staff) missing its initial 'b'(lack).

...sorry - last 4 letter word is TOWIE location

One of my answers to 30 starts with a P and the other with a C. Obviously one is wrong. Does the composer start with P?
