Well at least the title summed it up perfectly.

I can't even see a thread in the 'superior' place, maybe they are too busy polishing up their Z-cup .....

I've finally twigged the theme but am struggling to make sense of some of it. Could somebody tell me if 1d is jumbled please? I have a sneaking suspicion that I've gone wrong somewhere.

I've worked it out and yes I'd made a mistake, 1d is not jumbled.

I could do with some help on the North-West corner - a nudge towards 1ac or 3dn would be appreciated

Dylan - 3d first word is extra. Definition is herb. Word for border goes inside word for suffering. 1a definition is dead (obsolete) excited. Two letter word for space followed by word for renowned with pupil (one letter) inside. I think second word may also be extra but I haven't got the theme yet.

Oh I don't know wintonian, it was still light outside when I finished last Saturday's. On Thursday afternoon .... ;¬)

I have 7 Acrosses and 2 Downs where the answer has to be jumbled. Is this right? I can't see what's going on yet, but it's early days (VERY early compared with last week!).
