I know a hint has been given before, but I need help on 25D , the chemical name for salt. I have itnee for crossers. At this rate I'll be lucky to finish this by Christmas !

A clever puzzle but the layout of the clues made quick access to them difficult for this solver, and actually contained one error that I spotted (42a should be in the CYCLED not the JUMBLED section).
