Oh dear! That was probably the simplest clue in the crossword and even knowing the answer I didn't see it! Oh well, onwards and upwards.

A question not related to this specific Listener. Can any previous winners give me some idea as to how long it takes for the prize BRD to arrive. Thanks and a Happy New Year to you all.

A small thing but it has bothered me since completing the puzzle. I can’t parse the 2nd and 3rd letters in 5 down. I think I have back calculated the extra word and eventually I found the police station. I assume the letters mean “space” but looking in TCD I do not see an obvious link.
Hope it is not too easy or I will be embarrassed.

If you look under definition 2 of en you will see it means a space. Bothe em and en seem to come to the setters rescue on many occasions.
Anyone sending in this crossword may have trouble putting 4 digits into cell 17.

Ah - it might be a version problem. I am using the ipad TDC app and definition 2 is half an em. Definition 1 is the phonetic letter. No mention of space. I have learned something - as I always do with the Listener.

Hello all. I'm very new to Listener Crosswords but have now got down to last 3 clues, 26, 34 & 43. I think this last guest may be 5 letters but can't see any way to reconcile this with these clues. Any gentle hints anyone please?

Hi pattie - 34 def. monogram (5 letters) first 3 letters of short letter or note + abbrev. for right hand + 1 letter contaction of 'of'.
43 def. A legal right (7 letters) 'up' indicates anagram of set + synonym for 'again' as in to repeat something ( to do it all .... again).
25 def. impulse transmitters - 1 letter abbrev. for Are (the land measurement + 2 letter synonym for working (as opposed to 'off') within ten seconds - (Roman numeral and abbrev.)
