Palman Oh dear, I am so slow If the answer to 56 is what I think you may mean, I have that as the answer to 41 but in plural. Or isn't that what you mean at all? These last 2 are driving me round the bend!

Twinsnan think you can leave 41 don't let it hold you back!
56 is abbreviation for House of Reps (HR) with 'an ape' in the middle. Wierd word I'd never heard of is in Chambers and you would keep your hanaps in one.

Although I do not have an answer yet, I do not believe that keepnet, cribble or tureens is the solution to 99 (and none of them is the solution to any other clue).

Oh heavens....you have indeed sent me to bed in a heavenly frame of mind now that 56 is solved. Thanks you, and all the others who have been nudging then shoving me in the right direction. Now for that final one, the answer to which is definitely not keepnet as so many of us know, but we can't quite work out. We will though. Thanks and goodnight all.

Badger 4 Hmmm, that's got me thinking about my answer to 84 now, I have the singular of the word with ure in it, felt sure it was correct when I worked it out, now I'm doubting it. Am I wrong?

84 = Put money on/English/before the last test/to hold the ashes. The solution does not contain "ure" - but be careful. There are two very similar possible answers but Chambers will give the correct one. Hope this helps.

Great quiz. Has kept us amused and frustrated in equal measure for days. Just found this site which has helped solve a couple but we are really struggling with last 4. Any hints on 34, 39 (I have seen all the help to date but we still cannot get it), 49 and 58. Thanks.
