Rusty, I'm a little disappointed - my 'new' word already exists, confirmed in Chambers.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, our fog lifted to leave the most glorious day - and the temperature soared into double figures! It was apparently 13C! Wow! A comparative heat wave!
We took advantage of it and went further afield - drove out to the woods and then across the railway bridge to the fields on the far side.
We walked for miles. The dog was in seventh heaven!
I'm sorry that I missed the article on Victoria. Had I known about it before going out, I would have bought the paper!
Is there anything interesting in it that I should know about?
I see that there is some racing from Cheltenham on Tuesday being shown on Channel 4?
Will this cover Victoria's race?
How was your cycling?
Don't forget to record "The Voice!" (although you have missed the best part of the series!)

Hello, Malone!
I saw the answer to Rusty's clue immediately!
Mind you, it would have been a poor do if I hadn't...... I have a friend who lived in Acton for many years!
I'm afraid that I was unable to rise to the challenge of "mine"???

Chrise, What a come back by Wales !

Congratulations to England but ...dare I say it ........ I was supporting Wales ! They impressed me so much during the World Cup!

Next one England- France - I don't think England has to worry too much this year, but who knows.....

You never can tell with France - particularly when the sun is on their backs.........

Then should England lose, there would be no Grand Slam ! Wales could still make the Championship, non?

No, only France can deny England the Championship, but they need to make up a lot on points difference. Of course, if they lose tomorrow, it's all over..............

Hello, Elle!
Lucky you with the weather!
It was an excellent piece on Vic.
She was very forthright and honest, and I would expect no less from her.
Yes, C4 will cover the Festival each day.
Vic's race is on Friday, right after the Gold Cup.
Cycling was OK, but the first big one-day race is next Saturday.
Milan-San Remo. Will be good!
My Sky box is set to record The Voice!
For the life of me I can't see how some of us are expected to know that Acton is in Ealing?
I only recently found out that Ealing was part of London!
I honestly thought it was out in the country somewhere!

Malone, I see Londonism is a word too.
I thought that was an invention on this thread!

Rusty, I think I'd heard of 'Londonism' before, but really didn't expect 'Londony' to be a word.

Although I'd heard of Ealing, I had no idea where it was - well, I thought it was in the south of England, but that was all. I agree that it's ludicrous that solvers are supposed to know that Acton is in Ealing. Why would we, why should we?!
