Hello, Elle!
I have had my tea. Mullerice, chips, and coffee.
Shepherds pie sounds nice.
There are a few keyboard options in Hudl.
I think mine is set to Google UK English with automatic capitalisation on new sentences. Seems OK.
I do not think I have Microsoft online.
As a matter of fact, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to send an email to Rose.
It is a long time since I have used email.

Ah, now ! an 'if it's' day is a day when you look in your fridge and get all the left overs there might be - and basically, 'If it's in the fridge, we'll eat it ! '

I used to do it at least once a week when my father was still alive and lived with us for a while - he could not stand eating the same thing two days on the trot - lunch time and evening was enough. So I decided that once a week I would put on the table all the left overs and it made for a delicious Buffet !

Hi, Rusty!
We are having gammon, new potatoes , broccoli and cauliflower cheese for dinner! It will be ready in a little while.
I'm feeling hungry now!
I have no idea what options I have on my Hudl? when I am typing, I do not seem to have any checks on what I write?
Mind you, I use it for very little compared with your usage of yours.
Mainly for sending/ receiving emails, and for this site....usually in the evenings when I am sitting on the sofa! Then I can multi-task.......read, watch TV check my Hudl for messages etc.
But for most things I use my desk top - this sits in an alcove in a corner of the lounge, so is very convenient.
I use email a lot - I don't know how you manage without it? or with only using it occasionally?
I send nearly all my letters by email nowadays ( except to friends who don' t have a computer!)
It certainly makes life easier! and correspondence quicker!

Hello, Elle!
Well done on spelling broccoli correctly!
Best leave well alone on Hudl, I think.
There are options for voice typing and stuff, but I stay away from them.
I do not write letters so I do not need email.
I use text messaging and WhatsApp on my mobile phone instead. I like WhatsApp.
TESCO had to install an app for me because my BT email site on Hudl was very slow and a complete pest of a thing.
I think the app is called MyMail and is much better.
It was a simple install and then I binned the BT site.
How is your weather this evening?

Hi, Rusty!
I thought I had best reply now, before I become involved in my hour-long weekly phone chat with my cousin (the one who lives in Blackburn) at 9 pm!
Whats App? Isn't that the thing we had problems with, trying to install it on our Hudls? Wasn't it something to do with Silicon Valley? and didn't they offer you a job? (translating or some such?)
How does this relate to your phone? What does it do?
(Remember that MY phone is incapable of doing anything other than ringing and texting! It is extremely basic, so don't blind me with too much technology here!)
And what is MyMail?
(What planet am I living on?)
Dreich here.......how about you?

Hello, Elle!
WhatsApp is a mobile text message service, and it is very good.
I have had it for two years. Did not you say your daughter said it could be used on tablets? But I said there is no telephone number on a tablet, and contacted them?
Then, the good folks at Mountain View offered me a job translating or something!
In my humble opinion WhatsApp is much better than the normal text service and is practically free.
78 pence a year roughly.
Photos and texts are free.
If Santa were to bring you a modern phone, I think you would install WhatsApp.
That is what the young ones and me use, not the normal text service. When my son got married in America this year they sent me literally hundreds of photos of the wedding. Free!
On a normal phone service it would have cost many pounds.
Now MyMail.
I complained to TESCO Helpline that the BT app was pathetic on their Hudl.
They agreed, and said their solution is to dump BT and install MyMail.
So we did, and my mail delivery is pretty much perfect now.
We are to get some rain tomorrow!

Hi, Rusty!
But you have to appreciate that I do not want a "modern" phone!
I am a complete dinosaur in this respect. And happy to be so!
I do not like "swiping"! I prefer to press buttons!
I do not WANT my phone to do anything at all except ring or text!
The only purpose of having a mobile ( as far as I am concerned ) is for emergency calls if necessary when I am out.
(I sincerely hope that Santa is not planning to bring me an updated phone!)
I don't understand about MyMail? You are talking of your "mail" delivery? do you mean email? but you said that you didn't use it?
My apologies here if this is me being thick? ( I do try not to be.....)
Supposedly dry here tomorrow ,but we are to have rain for most of the night - it's already wet out now - which means poggy ground equals wet dog in the morning!

Hello, Elle,
Yes, I understand.
I much prefer a modern phone.

No, you are not thick.
I said I do not send emails, yes.
However, I do receive them.
From Amazon, eBay, PayPal, etc.
MyMail has replaced MyBT on my Hudl, simply because BT and Hudl were not a match made in heaven..
Tesco acknowledged that, but do not know why, and their solution is to install MyMail..
MyMail is much better, I think.
I hope that is plain as I am at a loss how to explain it any clearer.

It is a wee bit frosty outside now!
