Hello Pigale!
Yes, a nice day, thank you - both weather wise and socially!
Our younger daughter and grandson came over today and it was with great difficulty that the young one was persuaded to return home - he was all for sleeping here!
We have the same problem with local councils - their employees come around with their apparatus, spraying any unwanted 'foliage'. As Doglet says , they tell you it safe to animals and children but never-the -less they are "gowned up and masked" when they do it! So one wonders!

Albie, from what I read about these Stewards' Inquiries , the same type of incident brought about diametrically opposed results?

Hello Elle and Doglet,

Hope you are well - weather here half and half but with very strong wind, particularly in stormy gusts. It frighted the kittens off when they went out in the garden, and they promptly ran back towards the house!

Doglet, hope you have Freddy and Honey back with you and that they have recovered ? Give each of them a special cuddle from me ! I dare not ask how much you had to pay !

You know, I was quite serious yesterday when I said that you and the other dog owners should get together and get the Council to fork the bill. I certainly would.

Hi Doglet and Pigale!
Sorry, I haven't been on the computer all day. I was out for a large part of the day and had a bad migraine when I came home so didn't come near the computer until now.
I've read most of Priestley at some stage or other (another author to reread maybe?) and enjoy his books. I didn't see the TV adaptation of "An Inspector Calls" but I've seen it at the theatre - excellent.
A rather wet day here, too! hope tomorrow will be better!

hi pigale
I am afraid Freddy was back at the vets again this morning he is fine full of beans playing etc but is still very very loose so we have another lot of pills for him to take and a very restricted diet, which is bland and boring

I went to the hairdressers today and had most of my hair cut off feels rather cold round my neck then bought a new pair of spectacles to give me a new look.Weather is cold ,wet and more like November, this afternoon will be reading.Hope your weather is better

Hi Doglet,

No, my weather is not better - and thunder on top of it !
Strange time of the year to have your hair cut off - I usually grow it towards Winter.

Sorry to hear of poor Freddy's problems - good that is full of beans but he must feel sorry for himself in front of bland food; and to think they say the product is inoffensive !

Did not feel like doing anything serious this afternoon so got a jigsaw out and made a start - I usually have one on the go towards this time of the year onwards and do a bit here and then. Makes a change from 'transwriting' ( = translating but almost rewriting so it reads better than a word per word translation)

Responding to bump this up - it would be a shame for it to wither away.
