Hello, Elle!
The ladies final is between Ashleigh Barty and Marketa Vondrousova.
In the men's, Rafa Nadal will play either Dominic Thiem or Novak Djokovic.
Rain delay at present.
"Storm Miguel" is affecting things.
My car had no charge in the battery, but was recharged and tested and they tell me it is 100% now.
Cause? Lack of driving, they say.
I am rarely in it!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, we tend to have the same problem with our Volvo.
We are either on foot, or only driving a relatively short distance, as opposed to a motorway run.
Our car kindly tells us, though, that the battery is getting low by flashing a message up on the screen.
So we hastily have to make amends....... and go for a drive in order to charge the battery!
I do not know either of the Women's Finalists?
The Men's Singles Final promises to be interesting?
Especially if it turns out to be yet another rematch between Rafa and Novak...
I shall try to watch that on Sunday!
We have just had curry - Chicken Jalfrezi - for dinner...…
Delicious !

Hello, Elle!
Lucky you! I don't get an alert message flashing up!
I do not know the women finalists, too.
Barty is from Oz, I think.
Rafa has an astonishing record in the French Open.
He has only ever lost two matches!
What is Jalfrezi, Elle?

Hi, Rusty!
Our car is always "talking" to us!
It tells us when we are near another car…..and when we are about to pass a speed camera!!
Oh dear, Rusty! I am not an expert in Indian cuisine!
I just eat it.....and enjoy it!
"Jalfrezi" is so called from the Bengali word "jhal", which means "spicy hot".
I think "jalfrezi" is the method of cooking...literally meaning "hot -fry"...what we would call "stir-fry" maybe?
It is marinated meat fried in spices and oil, with added peppers, tomatoes, and onions, plus green chillies.
It is this last that makes the dish so hot.
I have to add natural yoghurt in the form of a cucumber raita to cool it down!
And drink lots of water!

Hello, Elle!
Oh, I would not like a car speaking at me all the time!
I never have my car wireless on.
I like peace and quiet when I am driving!
I avoid spiced and peppery foods if I can.
Hurts my stomach.
I'm with you on the water though.
I like water.
How is the cat getting on now?

Hi, Rusty!
The car simply beeps if too close to another car........and makes a noise when reversing.......and if a speed camera is nearby!
Useful safety measures!
I think the last could be very useful to some drivers...although my husband never speeds...and I do not drive.
The cat is doing quite nicely, thank you....I am hoping he is over the hump this time....but of course the pancreatitis could well recur.
I keep a weather eye on him!
But he is lively and full of beans for now, thank goodness.
There was a question on 15 to 1.....
"Which word was the Oxford dictionaries' Word of the Year for 2017?"
The answer was "youthquake!
Have you ever heard of it?
I had to look it up..... “a significant cultural, political, or social change arising from the actions or influence of young people.”
So now we know!

You should say something to "chrise", someone who is clearly trolling on this site to waste peoples time and play games. I am posting a crossword question for help on a crossword helping website and she is getting people to gang up on me.

What was the horrible thing I did? I forgot to say "thank you" a couple times out of the hundreds of posts I did.

People who act this crazy over someone not saying thank you does not need to be on a forum.

Good morning, Elle!
A bit cloudy here, but the heavy rain which was forecast has not appeared.... so far!
I am all for safety measures when driving, but I do prefer peace and quiet.
I do my very best not to speed, too.
Good news about your cat!
"Youthquake" is certainly new to me.
But, "word of the year"?
Seems a bit of a stretch!
I am going a-visiting this morning.
To see my oldest son and family and catch up on the gossip!
I read a good article earlier on Dafne Schippers.
She says acne is a well known sign of drug cheats.
If she's correct, I never knew that!

Good morning, Rusty!
I am just home from my walk....... wellies and raincoat needed this morning.
We have your rain!
There is also a very boisterous wind.
Yes, Dafne is right about skin problems and irritation , minor and serious, being caused by administering drugs.
Although there are of course various other causes of poor skin.
I am hoping this will catch you before you set off to your son's.......
I hope you have a good catch up with everyone.
I expect you will get a rapturous welcome from Clova!
