Hello, Elle.
This is the magician/illusionist.
I liked his act.

Hi, Rusty!
Well, that was certainly unusual!
However could the magician have known which film the judges would pick?
Yet the entire sequence was obviously set up well in advance.......
I obviously missed a good show!

Hello, Elle!
I did not understand Alesha or David's films because I don't know anything about them.
So that part of the act passed me by.
But I liked the lad.
He was impressive, I thought.
I liked the lad on fire too.
He was a cool customer!
Yes, it was a good show, I thought.

A good card manipulator can force any desired card onto a person who thinks he or she has a free choice. It does take a lot of practice. Cards can also be "shuffled" most convincingly without their order being disturbed at all (not relevant here, though.)
Many years ago, my sons did magic shows for children's parties, partly for the charity "Sightsavers". I made or bought the tricks and wrote the scripts! Some great magicians, like Paul Daniels and Siegfreid and Roy, sometimes do illusions in a new way so if you know how they are usually done, you're still baffled.

Good morning, Elle!
Fine start to the day here, hope it continues!
This young singer got a great reception on BGT.
Not my kind of singer, but the audience and judges loved her and she got the golden buzzer from Alesha.
What do you think of Giorgia?

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a dullish day here, and still on the cold side.
I think better weather is expected in Scotland than in our area, according to the car radio!
Goodness, I cannot believe that Giorgia is only ten? To me, she looks at least fifteen.
Uhmm.... well, I think she is obviously very talented...especially as she wrote her own song.
The judges and the audience seemed blown away...and Alesha gave her the Golden Buzzer.
This, though, is one of those instances where I can appreciate the potential talent, without particularly liking it personally.......
I must confess that whilst I thought she was good, it did nothing for me?
The builders have already done one coat of paint......

Hello, Elle!
A wee bit cloudy here but a fine dry day!
I think Giorgia performed well, but she is not for me, too.
A bit too shouty at times, for me.
Certainly not an Amira!
There were better acts on the show.
The audience loved her though.
There was one lad singing about the Isle of Wight.
The audience loved him!
Your builders should finish today, did you say?

Hi, Rusty!
Now, one of the dog walkers asked me this morning whether I had seen the ex- police dog, Finn, on BGT on Saturday.
He seemed very impressed..... and was telling me that Finn was a hero, and had saved his owner's life?
Yes, I think if all goes according to plan, the builders should finish today.
I guess it will depend on how many coats of paint are needed for the ceiling and the patio door architrave.....
And how long it takes for the paint to dry?
I do not know if there is anything else that they have to do?
I cannot access the kitchen at the moment, to consult with them.

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I believe Finn did protect his policeman owner and was wounded in the process, and recovered.
They showed that as part of the act.
I am a bit immune to these stories on BGT.
But, it was not a great act, though.
Was OK, and unusual, but that was all.
Nothing like Ashleigh and Pudsey!
Modern paints from good manufacturers dry quickly.

Here is Hayley, who collapsed just before the line in the Marathon.
She ran a PB. though!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
No, I know what you mean about the "hardluck" stories ......
Even when concerning an animal, the very idea of encouraging public sympathy as a means to drumming up support, seems wrong....
It makes my hackles rise!
I think tales of woe should be banned....
The competitor should just "perform" ...and be judged by merit not sympathy!
Poor Hayley! I am glad she made it across the finishing line.
I hope she was okay afterwards!
My builders look as though they might be packing up....they are taking ladders and cloths out to their van...
I had best go investigate.....
