Hello, Elle!
An enjoyable race!
Eliud Kipchoge is the real deal!
Wonder if he will go under 2 hours?
Hawkins did well, although he tired (unsurprisingly!) towards the end.
Brigid Kosgei ran a super race, too.
Now for the cycling!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I enjoyed the Elite running in the Marathon!
An ideal day for the race - good conditions.
And what a turnout!
I believe that there were so many competitors from the general public this year, that more electronic chips had to be brought in.
As I understand it, a set number of "invitations" are sent out , but the expectation is that not all will turn up on the day.....this year was a wonderful exception for the numbers who took part.
And your cycle race, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, is that underway now?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the bike racing is on.
Looks a bit cold and wet in Belgium.
I just caught up with BGT.
Some good acts this week.

Hi, Rusty!
It has been cold and wet here , too, as well as in Belgium!
I switched off the TV as soon as the Men's Elite racing was finished , so do not know if rain hit Central London....and the remaining Marathon winners got wet?
But I had gone out with the dog ...when it rained in our locality!
It has ceased now though, and we have some watery sunshine.
My daughter took the young one on a river boat to watch some of the Marathon en route.
What a great idea!
I knew it would be impossible to see from the road..... but hadn't thought of the water!
He has been very excitedly telling me all about it by phone!
Her other men folk (husband and BB )stayed home watching football.
I am not sure if I remembered to record BGT!
I shall check later.

Good evening, Elle!
I liked the Marathon.
Did you see the girl who crawled over the line?
I think the medics helped her to recover.
Jakob Fuglsang won the cycling, but he almost didn't!
An amazing recovery!
Don't worry, there is no crash!

Did you record BGT?

Hi, Rusty!
I have been talking to my cousin.
All are well up there, and it sounds to be much warmer than it is here.
No, I didn't see a girl crawling over the finishing line?
What happened ?
Did she collapse..... or was she simply very tired?
I switched off once Callum Hawkins made it across the line.
I have watched your (crash free!) video clip!
My, that was a close call to Jakob's coming off his bike - a well saved action on his part.
No, I had forgotten to record BGT....
I thought that had probably happened....
I meant to record today's showing, as, last night, the recorder was set for "Casualty"
I totally forgot in the excitement of watching the Marathon!
Did I miss anything of especial note in BGT?

Hello, Elle!
It was fairly warm here today.
The girl collapsed about 3 yards short of the finishing line and crawled over the line, and collapsed again.
The medics were there very quickly to tend to her, but I do not know what happened after that.
Snap! I waited until Callum was over the line before I turned it off!
Jakob is having a good year, and he showed great skill to stay upright on the bike!
The chasing group were just a few seconds behind him, but he held on to the finish.
There were several good acts on BGT.
A couple on roller blades were excellent.
An excellent magician.
A dog that does mind reading tricks.
They were the ones that appealed to me.

Hi, Rusty!
My cousin and her husband - in their comparative youth - used to enter "dancing on roller skates" competitions!
They won a lot of trophies.
Now I should have liked to see the dog that did mind reading tricks.......
How was that worked?
And did the dog get through to the next round?

Hello, Elle!
Last night was the best show of the series.
It was a police dog, called Finn, I think, who did the tricks.
I don't know how he did it, but it was impressive.
And there was a young girl singer who the crowd loved, and who got the golden buzzer from Alesha.
I am glad I watched the show.
I liked the magician and the roller bladers best.

Hi, Rusty!
Oh, it sounds like a good show!
It is Sod's law that the one time I didn't record it , it was a good innings.
I had lost interest of late......
I shall hopefully catch up with them in the next round.
My daughter has sent some photos of their river boat trip!
But unfortunately none of the runners seen on one of their alightings.
