Isn't it 'Nando's' that have all sorts of different chilli options? I've only been to one at an airport, and I may be misremembering.

Hello, Elle!
I went into BBC Text, Sports, Sports Headlines, and found it in there.
It displays every sporting event BBC are showing for the next week, and where you can see it.
They are covering athletics and Alpine skiing, and some other sport, on Red Button.
I have heard of Connected TV, but I do not know what is it.
I shall try and find it for you when I finish this.
I had it in my head that Nando's is Portuguese food, but I could be wrong.
Not heard how they got on at the new Nando's!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear! Why does it all have to be so complicated?
What happened to just switching on the television and simply watching a programme?
I have now found the Athletics on the Red Button schedule for Sunday (from your list, thank you).......
But I hadn't previously been looking for that ....I had not gone beyond searching for its showing on Saturday......
And I still cannot find that?
The Indoor Athletics only seems to be showing on Connected TV and Online...NO Red Button....on Saturday?
If I have read the programme wrongly ...or simply missed it......then I do abjectly apologise...especially after all your trouble......but I cannot find a Red Button transmission for Athletics on Saturday!
And I cannot set up this Connected TV malarkey on my TV!
I think from what I have heard that Nando's does all kind of chicken dishes?
But we shall know more when your family reports back!

Hello, Chris!
Sorry, but I have no idea...I have never been to a Nando's.
I had been told that it was basically chicken dishes - of all varieties - served there, so I never went as I don't much like chicken!

I've found a menu online, elle. We're both partly right - the menu is very chicken-orientated (not exclusively), and there is a lot of chilli (not exclusively)

Hello, Elle,
No, you are right.
Athletics are only on Connected TV tomorrow.
Bit strange seeing as they are on Red Button on Sunday.
I am not going to attempt to set up Connected TV.
I have umpteen sports channels as it is.
The Alpine skiing World Championships are on just now and that's my priority this weekend, and the golf at Pebble Beach.
You are probably right about Nando's menu.
I know my family like going there.
This new Nando's is taking the place of an Indian restaurant which went burst and was then bulldozed.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it is odd.......why offer the Red Button service one day, but not the other?
Ah well....I should be used, by now, to this letting down by the BBC on its Sports coverage ......
And I don't think it is possible to record the Red Button channel...is it?
I think our daughter and family are coming over on Sunday (or it may be tomorrow) and, if so, I shall not be able to watch the Athletics programme at its given time.
You will have a busy weekend ahead, if you are planning to watch both the Alpine skiing and the golf!
You aren't tempted to join your granddaughters tomorrow, and check out the new restaurant?

Hello, Chris!
I have been meaning to ask you how you like your electric car?
It is a while now since you got it.....
I was put in mind of it, when reading about our local Council setting up electric vehicle charging points in many of the Council car parks.

Good morning, Elle!
Wind has dropped here!
I would not think recording Red Button is possible?
I have not tried it, but can't think of a method to do it.
I want to see Lindsey Vonn's last ever run in the downhill on Sunday.
She crashed out earlier this week and has a black eye and damaged ribs and said she is feeling "bad".
The golf is mostly in the evening so that's fine.
Pebble Beach is in a very scenic location on the Pacific coast of California.
Now, the new Nando's.
They went, but it was "mobbed" and they did not stay, but went to the new restaurant instead and said it was "very nice".

Good morning, Rusty!
I am just back from the park.
It is a lovely day here - the pendulum has swung yet again, and we have sunshine and blue sky!
The wind, however, is becoming even stronger!
Not a day for lingering under a tree.....
I think it might be possible to record a Red Button programme provided there is only the one RB station in action...
601 is the given RB number (but there are several others available when it is Wimbledon, for instance)
I shall try it tomorrow.
Good to hear the new restaurant met with approval!
