Hello, Elle!
Hope your friend finds the Hydrotherapy Centre.
A decent map would help, surely?
The boombox is great.
I am gradually working my way through my CDs.
Some may be going to PDSA charity shop, I think.
Carl Orff is top of the list, so far, with the Eagles close behind!
Going to have a browse on Amazon later to possibly top up my collection.
I'll see what Nicola Benedetti CDs are there, and browse some others.
When I was at school I played the trumpet, but not very well!

Hi, Rusty!
I didn't explain very well....my friend has previously been taking her dog for hydrotherapy, so she knows the location of the Centre, but not the "back streets" so to speak.
Whereas we are very familiar with the area - firstly because we took our previous dog for treatment there........and secondly because our daughter now lives but a stone's throw away!
Because the poor dog gets very fraught on the car journey, the idea is to cut down the travelling time to an absolute minimum!
The route I devised will achieve that!
I am afraid that I know neither Carl Orff nor the Eagles, although of course I know of Nicola Benedetti.
She also featured on your programme!
Good luck in your hunt for CDs!

You have probably heard some Carl Orff, elle. "O fortuna", the opening of Carmina Burana, is used a lot on TV - for instance, the old "Old Spice" advert.

You have almost certainly heard the most famous of Carl Orff's music, elle. There's a section of "Carmina burana" that is often used when it's necessary to build up tension because something dreadful is going to happen in a play etc.

Hello, Elle!
Let's hope your friend can follow the directions!
Carl Orff was a German composer, and like Nicola Benedetti, was very interested in children's musical education.
In town here, Nicola is looked upon as "big sister", by the youngsters, which I think is great!
The Eagles were an American band, probably best known for "Hotel California".
I came across a CD which I had recommended to me a few years ago, "The Very Best of Rondo Veneziano".
They are a chamber orchestra with a modern twist, and very good indeed, I think.
May look for another of their CDs.
I am going to Pine Cone tomorrow with the girls.

Hi, Rusty!
I have "devised" a map for her!
And highlighted the route.
It should get her there with at least twenty minutes off her previous journey time.
I have been listening to the clips sent by Chris and Ros, featuring music by Carl Orff.
Yes, this is familiar to me.... I just did not know the name of the composer.
Wonderful!
And if you like Turner, Rusty ……..watch the first clip sent by Chris -- marvellous paintings!
You will enjoy your trip to the Pine Cone with the girls tomorrow!
My son and granddaughter will be here soon...so I am going to 'disappear' for a while!
Is your son visiting you today?

Thank you, Chris and Ros, for the links!
Great paintings by Turner, Chris.
I'll admit to enjoying those even more than the music!
Ros, I'm glad you like the hot air brush...having recommended it, I was feeling nervous in case you hated it!

Hello, Elle!
I hope your friend does not get lost!
When does she go?
I am not keen on paintings, Elle.
I much prefer photographs.
So, I have for the charity shop, CDs by Carl Orff, the Eagles, Don Williams, and several books.
I think my son will visit, hope so!

Good evening, Rusty!
It was lovely seeing our son and granddaughter!
My husband has just taken them home.
Our granddaughter will be back again, though, this time with her mum and young brother, for the family "get- together" on New Year's Day.
We shall look forward to that.
You are not showing much faith in my "map"!
My friend goes to the hydrotherapist tomorrow.....she will be fine!
Are you bartering your donations to the charity shop for more teaspoons.........?
How is your son?
Did you have a good chat?

Good evening, Elle.
It is good to spend time with family!
I hope your friend is fine tomorrow!
Can she not read a map?
I have four teaspoons just now, and that's plenty!
I have 4 CDs for the shop and some books.
My son did not visit this night.
Possibly went to the pictures.
I may hear tomorrow.

Hi, Rusty!
I am catching up with recorded programmes...I have two episodes of "Casualty" to view.
And apparently one of my favourite shows - "The Voice :UK" is back on Saturday.
I do enjoy that!
I think there is still the same panel of coaches....Will.i.am, Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, and Olly Murs.
They made a good combination last time.
Your charity shop will be glad of your donations.
Have you chosen any more CDs?
