Hello, Elle!
US Navy Flag won well!
He was in front all the way.

I saw a bit of the men's semi-final.
Was entertaining.
Dylan Groenewegen won today's stage.
Sagan fourth.
I was hoping for a Frenchman to win as it's Bastille Day, but not to be.
Big day tomorrow, they race to Roubaix across the cobbles.
The mechanics will be very busy tonight preparing the bikes.
Different gearing, different tyres, some may have shock absorbers in the forks, and all will have extra tape on the bars to help cushion the juddering and prevent blistering.
I am looking forward to it.
But for now, I'll have one eye on the tennis and another eye on the golf!

Hi, Rusty!
The Women's Singles Final was almost an anticlimax, coming so soon after the men's stupendous Semi.
It was all very unfortunate timing , really, but I guess circumstances dictated it.
Had the women played first, then the winner of the men's match would have been far too tired, playing so close again tomorrow.
I was glad to see Angelique Kerber win.
I still have the Men's Doubles to watch.
All this activity.......I shall be exhausted!
Peter Sagan seems to be doing consistently well in Le Tour?
What does this mean in terms of the green jersey?
And how is your golf progressing?

Hello, Elle!
I hoped for Miss Kerber to win too.
Wonder when Jamie and Victoria are on?
Sagan is doing very well and has been upgraded to second place in today's stage after Gaviria and Greipel were relegated for misbehaving in the sprint.
This was the last day for a sprint finish for a week.
As Sagan is not a "true" sprinter he has done well to keep the green jersey.
There should be a shake up in the classifications tomorrow.
The teams will all have different priorities and strategies tomorrow.
Hard to say what will happen!

Hi, Rusty!
That is good that Pete Sagan is doing so well.
You will be pleased.
The Mixed Doubles - Jamie and Victoria - will be played tomorrow, Rusty, but I don't think that a time has been given as yet.
Now , my plan to watch the Men's Singles match tomorrow ( a Hallowed occasion for me!) has encountered a slight hiccough!
It appears that BB is taking part in a tennis competition tomorrow!
And we have been invited to watch!
We are obviously delighted to have been asked to see him play......and of course, we shall go!
He comes first!
But the competition is from 12.30 till 2 pm!
We should make it back here by 3pm....
Let us hope for yet another marathon match......then missing the first hour will hardly matter!
BB is very excited and they will be playing on the grass courts in emulation of Wimbledon!
The Men's Doubles Final is still going on...... one set all, and Mike Bryan and Jack Sock are leading in the third set......
I shall be "square-eyed"!

Hello, Elle!
I think BB will be very chuffed if you and your husband go to cheer him on!
Set your recorder for Wimbledon and forget about it.
Young ones take priority!
I don't think I will see much tennis, what with the Tour going to Roubaix tomorrow.
Paris-Roubaix is my very favourite race and the Tour is going along part of the course, so I shall be engrossed!
Only one lonely chick on the nest last I looked in.

Hi, Rusty!
My recorder is already set!
I am all prepared!
There is no way I am going to miss the young one play his match , especially after having received a "special" invitation from BB himself!
No, I can see that Roubaix and the cobbles will take priority for you, over the tennis, tomorrow!!
I can understand that!
But don't forget to watch Jamie and Victoria, because you have been looking forward to that.
I'm assuming it will follow on after the Men's Singles match?
There has only been one chick in the nest, whenever I have looked today....
I do hope the venturesome one is ok?
Did he ever return after his solo flight?

Hello, Ros!
Yes, I think 29C is our upper limit tomorrow...it will indeed be hot!
Oh well, it is only for an hour and a half!
It would be hotter still were we sitting for several on Centre Court at Wimbledon!

Hello, Pigale!
Are you out there?
We haven't heard from you for a few days?
Perhaps you have just been busy watching the cycling, as has Rusty?
Let us know you are okay?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine dry start to the day here.
So, your big day is here. BB's first match.
How're the nerves?!
You'll be like Judy Murray today!
I have checked the weather at Roubaix.
Hot and dry, so at least the cobbles won't be wet and slippy.
They can be treacherous in the rain.
I hope the race is over before Jamie and Victoria start their match.
Just one chick on the nest just now.
I think the second chick will fledge tomorrow, perhaps?
The second chick hatched two days after his brother, so that's my logic!

Just seen the first chick fly back onto the nest and really thought the second would fly, but he didn't. Am sure he will any moment! There are three birds there just now.

elle, like me watching my grandson's drumming a week ago. very hot and uncomfortable but one must!

A Very Good morning to you, , Rusty!
We have a lovely day here, too.
But very hot already!
I was up and out with the dog especially early......
BB 's "tournament" does not begin until 12.30 pm., so we shall not need to leave here until about 11.
Time to unwind first, and do the Everyman!
I have checked, and Jamie and Victoria's match is scheduled for 4 pm.....
(You could set your recorder?)
But of course times will be subject to change, should the Men's Singles Final go on for a long time!
I am rooting for Novak...but both men fought hard (and long) to get here...so either deserves to win.
I hope the cycling at Roubaix goes well!
It is a relief to know that No 1 chick did eventually return home!

Hello, Ros!
Yes, it will definitely be hot!
But the info sent out says there is a cafe near by, selling ice cream and cold drinks!!
The only advantage I have over your situation is that I DO like tennis!
I'm assuming you are not necessarily fond of drumming?!
