Hello, Elle!
No, my son did not visit tonight.
Not heard from him today.
Miss O is collecting me at 10 tomorrow.
That is an hour earlier than usual, she must be going on somewhere perhaps.

Hi, Rusty!
The tennis match was suspended at two sets to one up for Novak... a sensible breaking point for the night.
It will be resumed tomorrow...….
I am relieved it is all over for tonight.....I have viewed enough!
But what a stupendous day!!
That is great that you are away out with Miss O in the morning!
If she is collecting you at 10 am, you will most probably be gone before my return from the early walk in the park....
Have a good time!

Good morning, Elle!
Fine morning here.
A long day's viewing for you yesterday!
And more today!
Lots of criticism from the riders in Le Tour about yesterday's stage.
Far too long, and the expected cross winds did not turn up, to liven the race up, and split the peloton..
Made it a bit of a non-event except for the last few kilometres.
All over now, and hopefully the racing will be better today!
Miss O must have something on, as she has brought our outing forward by an hour.
Intriguing!

Good morning, Rusty!
A beautiful day here, too!
It is going to be very hot again - 28C - over the weekend.
How was the Pine Cone?
What did you have for breakfast.......or should that be for brunch?
Good news about the osprey chick!
He must be off exploring, as there is only one chick in residence at the moment!
The resumed Semis match between Rafa and Novak - in which Novak is 2 to1 sets ahead - starts at 1pm on the Centre Court, should you have time to take a look......
The Ladies' Singles Final between Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber will follow.
After that it is the Men's Doubles.
So a good afternoon's tennis viewing.
I must see if I can complete the crosswords before battle commences !

Hello, Elle!
it is a fine day here, too.
Pine Cone was brilliant.
Very friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices.
I kept things simple, had a bacon roll and a glass of water.
I finished my puzzle earlier.
Not very difficult, I did not think.

Hi, Rusty!
A bacon roll sounds very tempting!
I have finished my crossword.... at least, I have a completed grid, but four clues yet to parse satisfactorily.
It is too early to ask for help, yet, though!
I shall soldier on with it, in between tennis breaks!
What is your plan of campaign?
Are you touring France , visiting Wimbledon, or hitting it straight down the middle?
I shall just relax on the sofa, and encourage Rafa to beat Novak!

Hello, Elle!
I am enjoying le Tour and the French scenery!
Hoping for a French winner today for Bastille Day.
Golf is on later, but very low scores suggest the course is playing a bit easy.
Need the wind to blow to make it a proper test!
Keeping an eye on the Loch, too.
I was right regarding the poll on the first flight.
I voted Saturday , and it was correct!
And I have taken an interest in a horse at Newmarket.
Paddy P has given me a free £2.00 bet which must be used today, so I have placed it on US Navy Flag, more in hope than anything else!

Hi, Rusty!
Hey! Well done on your win at Newmarket!
That spices up the afternoon!
Well, that was another superb Men's Semi....and only just finished! Novak won!
But as Kevin Anderson said yesterday, he felt his match with Isner should have been a draw...so did Novak say today that either he or Rafa could have won.
It was so very close.......
It is good to see such sportsmanship still around!
The Final on Sunday will be interesting...such different types of players.
The Women's Final - two hours delayed - will now start at 4pm .......
How is Le Tour going?
