Hello, Pigale!
Yes, Armstrong had the same. That was when he first confessed to doping. The doctors in the hospital in USA told him they had to know everything that he put in his body, so he told them. He denied it later, but Betsy Andreu was there, so she knew.
Basso wanted to ride to Paris, to help Nibali in the mountains, but the doctors said no. Another mad cyclist!
Nibali said to him, we will see you in Paris and we hope to have the yellow jersey to show you. Great stuff!
I have had a tiny bet on Voeckler for tomorrow.
My bookie offered 80-1! So I grabbed it!
Pigale, I am not so fond of thunder, or lightning, myself!

I am a bit confused here Rusty - My magasine tells me that I. Basso is in the same team as Contador, ie Tinkoff-Saxo - Are you telling me he rides in Astana Team with Nibali ?

I know my mag was printed in advance, but I did not expect such changes !

Yes, Pigale, you are correct.
Basso rides for Tinkoff-Saxo.
I wrongly attributed Contador's comment to Nibali.

Doglet, I knew he was her father but did not know he was unpleasant.
Not good!
She has made her tweets inaccessible today.
A nasty woman!

Doglet, this is the report in my local paper today.
Hope you have some salt to hand.
This Geoff Ellis man is the man to wanted to chop the tree down. The police stopped him, and then he brought in a cherry picker to access the top of the tree to try and scare the birds away.
The lady's comment makes sense.
Feel free to vote. I have!

Hi, Rusty!
That is good news about the ospreys! ( Well -done, Doglet for providing the information!)
I'm surprised they survived the noise and upheaval- I would have though they would have tried to abandon the site- but maybe the parental instincts were too strong for them to leave their chicks?
Frankie and Benny's is an American/Italian 50s-style UK restaurant chain. I've never been to one myself but I've seen the odd one dotted around. I hope the birthday boy enjoyed his treat!
Your youngest g/d is about the same age as my eldest grandson- he will be 9 in September.
His hair used to be very blonde but has darkened considerably now.
Red is good - I like the image of a young Maureen O'Hara!
No, I didn't hear about Lynsey Sharp twittering....... I do dislike these social medias ( yes, I know you're on Twitter!)
I can't put a face to her father, Cameron... ..wasn't he a 100 m runner though, not 800m like Lynsey and her mother? I could be wrong.....
Now....... I looked up the "Frankie and Johnny" song.
As far as I can find out, it is based on Frankie Baker
(aged 22) - a black woman - who shot her lover Allen Britt (aged 17)
But Frankie Silver - whom you were talking about - is a white woman who was hanged for the murder of her husband , Charles .
There IS a song based on her but this is "The Ballad of Frankie Silver"
Any use?

Hello, Elle,
A fine evening for lingering near a hawthorn tree?
Yes, the ospreys seem to be OK.
I did not know they had chicks.
Cameron was a sprinter. I do not know her mother.
Yes, it is Frankie Silver I am interested in.
There is speculation that her husband, Charles, was known as Johnny. All this happened nearly a two centuries ago, (nearly as old as Otzi!) so it is very doubtful if the truth will ever be known.
I know the Ballad of Frankie Silver, but there is also the likelihood that the Frankie and Johnny song has nothing to to do with them?
And, hope Doglet reads this,
I follow quite a few folk on Twitter, mainly cyclists and journalists, but a few other things as well, mainly history sites. But this was on a nature site I think.
It was a crow, flying high above an eagle, and the crow gradually flew lower, still right above the eagle, then landed....on the eagle's back! The eagle flew on, quite unperturbed at it's unusual passenger. it looked as if the crow just wanted a lift. Amazing!

The crow and the eagle.
This is on a different site to my Twitter site, but the very same story.

Rusty, that is quite amazing - a crow hitching a ride on an eagle's back! If I hadn't seen the photograph I would have thought someone was trying to pull my leg! (where do these strange expressions come from?)
It says in your article that it may have started out as the crow trying to pick a fight? That sounds incredible considering the difference in size between the two birds?
A Napolean complex - but a suicide bid surely, if so?
But they both looked happy enough with the situation!!
(I wonder where they were going?)
I still haven't caught up with watching the Ninth Diamond League.... I did record it but just haven't had time to play catch up. This is why I like to watch these events as they are broadcast - I so rarely get the chance to watch at a later date- there is always something else by then that requires my attention!
I really must get down to some household tasks
tomorrow ....I'll dyson, you'll be tescoing.......what happened to 'hoovering'? - the PC brigade would call it vacuuming?
and maybe I might even get out a duster..... quickly before the Davis Cup!
You have managed then to see quite a lot of your friends whilst they have been here? are they of Irish or Scottish descent?
When do thy return to Belfast?
