Oh Elle so true. I loved today's match. Why couldn't Federer play today like he did against Murray on Friday? What a masterclass that was!
It is the Davis cup next so tennis is not over for a while yet ;)

Ladies final was ok, but not as dramatic as today. Serena was set to win, but there was a short moment when I did wonder if Mugaruza could do it......

And when the cyclists reach the mountains , they compete for the polka-dot jersey for the King of the Mountains? Now does this jersey remain with this winner ie he continues to wear it for the rest of the race?
If this is so, what happens if that particular rider then wins the yellow jersey? - he can't wear two jerseys? ( I'm confusing myself!)
I shall try to follow it when I am around to do so - I'm getting intrigued!

Yes, Lilacwine, Federer did play better against Murray, but in all fairness Djokovic is in a different class to Murray. Roger probably played as well today as Novak allowed him to do.
In fact, Roger played the better tennis initially in the match, but Novak rose to the occasion when required and really was excellent.
Btw, I wanted Roger Federer to win! how about you?

Yes, they were fastest today. All competitions within the Tour start from Day 1. It often happens that the yellow and polka dot jersey are held by the same rider.
Eddy Merckx once held yellow, green, and polka dot.
If the yellow jersey also holds the polka dot jersey, the yellow jersey takes priority and he wears that.
The polka dot jersey is then worn (but not awarded to) by the second placed rider in the Mountains competition.

Tuesday is Bastille Day so should be extra exciting and like all of France, I want to see a French stage winner!
The stage is finishing at a ski resort called La Pierre Saint Martin. It is well known for the discovery of caves there.
