Hi Elle. Thank you! The lady concerned (who is 60 on Friday) is apparently mad on tennis. I thought a court would be easiest, and have just finished painting the tennis racquets.
However, compared with the Jubilee cake I made, this is almost trivial. Just bad timing

Rusty, Two French guys in a break at present, P. Fedrigo
from Bretagne-Seche and one whose name I did not catch from Cofidis. Hope they make to the end but it's quite a long way away yet .

Pigale, the other man is Kenneth van Bilsen, a Belgian rider.
Not sure if they will be allowed to stay away.
The scenery is very enjoyable.
No sign of a bear for Elle....yet!

Their lead is only just over 4 minutes.
That could be very easily pulled back on the mountain.

~Froome did it Rusty ! I thought he would do well, and now, quite frankly, I see him as a potential winner overall, right to the end - in any case he has my support even if I would like to see Contador do a little effort.

Apart from the BretagneSeche and the Cofidis guys who did a lot of work but could not last the whole way (the lead was almost 15mns when I mentioned to you) , the French disgraced themselves!

Beautiful eagle, and beautiful scenery of my favourite mountains, ahead of the Massif Central which I like too. The Alps are beautiful but too manucured; the Pyrenees are wild.

PS - I am very annoyed at the fans, and I think that the motorbikes did not do their job to ensure a safe route towards the end of the race. Dangerous!

I know Vultures are not everyones favourite bird but the ones who hung around the garden in Assam were really very handsome in a ragged sort of way and they cleared any rubbish left about but they wouldnt eat our cooks rock cakes, they could have been used for missilesThey looked like old men when on the ground but they were superb in the air.Only saw a bear in Japan as they raided the hotel bins and they were very bold and cheeky the visitors loved them so no one bothered with them
