Hello, Elle!
I used always to use IE, too.
Then I got Edge, and my granddaughter suggested Chrome or Firefox would be best.
So I tried Chrome and liked it and stuck with it.
Now, I have a Chromebook and that runs on Chrome too.
Why don't you try Chrome?
I am not at all sure what is going on at the loch and little or no communication from the rangers.

I emailed them a while ago and got the following response - Do
they watch their screen?

Dear

LF15 has only mated with LM12. We are aware of the incident which may have sparked this confusion and can confirm the male was our resident LM12.

All is progressing normally and we look forward to the possibility of eggs being laid from this week-end onwards.

As with several other osprey nests this season, the last few days have seen more intruding male ospreys making a play for the resident birds' nests. This is normal osprey behaviour and is (in a way) a good thing because it now means the number of ospreys have successfully increased. Luckily, in Scotland, there is no shortage of strong trees beside good fishing lochs so this bodes well for the future.

Thank you for your interest in Loch of the Lowes ospreys.

Kind regards

So I mailed them back saying that I did witness Lassie mating
with on other male, and described it to them. No answer yet.
Surely they saw what took place, since they are supposed to
watch their screens all the time!

Here is the answer to my 2nd mail.

I never noticed these stripped on Laddie's tail? Are they sure
it is him?

" Don't worry, this is LM12. His plumage is a bit tattered and scruffy at the moment but he is doing a lot of protecting the nest and re-asserting his bond with LF15.

As you will have seen, he has just had to chase off the intruder yet again.

Kind regards"

I am more than a little confused, because I certainly did not
recognize Laddie!

Hello, Pigale!
Very curious!
Why would Laddie's tail feathers change colour?
But, I suppose the rangers may well be right.
I am not convinced though.

Neither am I, particularly since I did not see the 'bunch of brown
feathers at the back of his neck' to which Cherry was referring
in the blog.

I know it is not easy for us to see, and the rangers know their birds
better than we do, but I have my doubts!

I have responded to Cherrie and asked her if Laddie ever had
stripped feathers on his tail before... - waiting for an answer.

Hi, Rusty!
I do use Chrome with my Hudl, but as I always liked IE so much, and Edge is its replacement, I thought I would go with that on my desktop.
Edge is good, apart from some limitations that are apparently in the process of being rectified......or so Microsoft says.
Plus my daughter has transferred all "My Favourites" to Edge....and I don't know how to do that, should I change again.
I shall see how it goes...give it a fair trial...two weeks is but early days!
Right.. ....... we have sunshine here now....a great improvement on the early morning.
So I am away out for a walk.
I'll be back shortly........

I 've seen it too, Pigale... not the same incidence, but another attempt later!
Should I offer corroborative evidence, do you think?

Hello, Elle!
If you are happy with Edge then carry on, is my tuppence worth.
And if Microsoft can improve it, even better!
If my memory serves me well, I think when I downloaded Chrome for the first time, there was an option to "import favourites/bookmarks".
Was quite hassle free, if I recall.
Chrome calls "favourites", "bookmarks".
No sunshine here but it is a mild pleasant day.

Elle, yes by all means - I still have no answer and I am convinced
it was Not Laddie, unless we never saw some of his tail feathers before-
which I doubt

Keyboard gone to English version somehow and is slowing my
typing a lot and driving me mad correcting typing errors

On the RSPB community blog, they are saying this is the intruder (not Laddie) mating with Lassie

I thought there was something not quite right recently...
Thanks Jazzy - How do I get to this site (apart from your link
of course) - I typed RSPB, but then?
