Good morning, Rusty!
It is damp here, but the rain has stopped for now.
Very muddy underfoot.
What is it like up your way?
Did you have the expected snow?
Don't take any unnecessary risks in driving to your daughter-in-law's, if the ground is icy and unsafe.
I am away out shortly to get my hair cut......
Just grabbing a coffee first!

Good day, Elle!
Once again the weather folk have over estimated the severity of the weather.
We had snow, but not to the extent promised.
99% gone now.
Not too bad a day now.
Happy haircut!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Ah that is good to hear!
I had been envisaging you "snowed in"!
So did you get to visit your daughter-in -law, then?
Or did you postpone for another day to be on the safe side?
Our rain has stopped for now, and we have a sliver of sunshine........

Good evening, Elle!
Been quite a nice day here!
Was just a smidgeon of snow lying when I got up this morning.
Almost none on my car.
"Beast of the East 3", my butt!
Though there was a bit more snow at my daughter-in-law's, as they live a good bit higher up.
Yes, I visited my daughter-in-law and granddaughter this morning.
We did a lot of gossiping!

Hi, Rusty!
That was good that you made it to see your daughter- in -law and granddaughter, despite the weather predictions.....and had a good chat!
Miss O'H will be enjoying her school holidays?
BB, with a little bit of help from YB, was telling me all about his holiday in Swanage.
They all seem to have had a great time!
They went on a steam train to Corfe Castle!
I am organising for everyone to meet up next week, whilst our elder daughter and the boys are staying with us.
It should be good - the cousins all get on well together.

Hello Elle and Rusty!

Glad you see you are both well!
You had some snow Rusty, but the whole of France is in a yellow (quite
low) alert for very strong wind and thunder - and this time, the met
office was right! I had a sample of it this afternoon, and boy! I would
not have liked to be outside during the 5-10mns it lasted. It left
as quickly as it had come, but I had to put the light on, it became so
dark!
Temps around 10/12 today, mixture of rain and sunshine, with
possible thunder all through this week, except Friday where we
are suppose to have a brilliant day with 18C! Let's hope they
don't get it wrong!

It is nice to keep the cousins meeting whenever possible Elle, and the
age difference between the elder boys and BB is going to lessen
in a way with the passing years, with the little one soon catching up.
How may years difference now between the older and BB?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I had a good time!
I get on very well with my daughter-in-law, she is from Lincolnshire.
She likes a good natter, just like myself!
Your family reunion sounds good.
I hope it all goes to plan!

Hello, Pigale!
I have been keeping an eye on the weather in France this week.
Well, in the forecast for Roubaix, in particular, for Sunday.
My very favourite race takes place then, Paris-Roubaix!
The forecast indicates there could be rain, which will make the cobbles treacherous.
The last few years have been dry.
I remember the great Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle winning one year in the early nineties, the cobbles were very slippy, indeed.
I think it was the year he beat Franco Ballerini, in a great race.
Hope for another epic on Sunday!

Hello Rusty,

The météo site I looked at just now for roubaix area said
many clouds but some sun, probably no rain (unsure as yet)
and wind 35km/hr from South. The wind factor could also play
a part, particularly on wet cobbles as well - Let's hope the 'probably
no rain' proves right!

Good morning, Rusty!
Another damp one here.......
I am not going out for an early walk this morning, as I have a dental appointment later which would clash with my timing........
I hadn't realised that the Commonwealth Games are due to start today!
The Opening Ceremony is this morning.
There is a lot of potential viewing ahead, although as I will have family staying all next week, I will probably not get to watch very many of the events.
Maybe the Highlights in the evening!
What are you up to today?
Any plans?

Hello, Pigale!
You were late on the PCT last night....I had gone to bed!
We didn't get your thunderstorm, although I think there must have been something in the air, as the dog was edgy.
You were asking about ages.......
There are four years between our eldest grandson and BB.
The boys are 10, 8, 6 , 2 and 17 months. and our granddaughter is 8.
They all get on well.

Good morning, Pigale!
Yes, the crosswinds will play a part, too.
A bit early yet, to know if there will be rain, or not.
I am looking forward to it!
